New start
Kaycee's POV:
New country, new school, new tradition.
It's getting tiring.
Hey I'm Kaycee O'Brein, I was born in England, but because of my parents business we needed to move a lot.
I'm 17 almost 18 in a couple months.
This was the second country we moved to, California. The last one was Canada, but needed to move again because there was a bigger opportunity here in Cali.
I'm the middle child from 5 siblings, my parents were millionaires, that means we had a luxurious house, but if they were millionaires, that meant something else.
They weren't home a lot.
They were either working in the company, or on business trips, or simply in their office when they're at home.
We were used to it, oh and yeah meet my siblings.
There was, Tom O'Brein he was the oldest, he's 22, and he was working in the company as well, because my dad said, and I quote, he needs to follow his footsteps.
And now there's Kobby O'Brein he's next to Tom, he's 20, and let me tell you even though you force him to work for the company, he'll never do it. He wants to be an artist. He was always persistent about it.
And Me, I maybe a nerd, I was and still am a straight A student, and book worm, but never wanted to be a part of the company. Though I was a nerd, I wanted to dance, and took it seriously, that explains why I have gymnastics and dance classes.
And there's Kimmy O'Brein, we're the only girls in the family, (except mom) she was a smart girl, and she loved writing books, she's an author, though she just turned 17 she already wrote a book, called 'lost souls' it was a complicated love story, She wrote a very good book that it was even featured in book stores.
And there's Joshua O'Brein, he's 14 and the youngest, he's isolated himself from this world, he talks to no one, he doesn't talk to anyone to the family, but me. He's very quiet but he's a straight A student as well.
All of us are though.

"Mom when do we go to school?" I asked my mom as soon we've done unpacking to the new house.
"Tomorrow darling, oh and you don't all go to the same school okay" my mum said while cooking dinner.
"Mum, how 'bout Josh? You know how he is, he should not go to a different school, alone" I said, I'm obviously worried for Joshua, he only opens up to me.
"Kaycee, darling, Joshua is 14, he's old enough to handle himself, you should let him learn" my mom stated, I guess, he should.
"Okay, mum, I'm gonna talk to Josh first, ok" I said and gestured to Josh's room.

I walked over to Joshua's room, and it took me 10 minutes to walk to his room. Wow, this house is fudging huge.
Once I opened Josh's room I saw no one, the room was empty, He wasn't in the bathroom, nor on the bed, nor outside his balcony, where could he be.
•••
I walked around the house, to see he was outside, there by the pool, he was wearing black adidas sweat pants, and a plain white jumper, and he was reading a book with his ear plugs on.
He didn't see me walk over him until I took one of his ear plugs and listened to what he was listening to, it was changes by XXXTENTECION.
"Hey" I said as I gave him back his ear plug.
"Hey" he replied back, "are you fine...going to another school?...alone..?" I asked him slowly.
I didn't want him to get the wrong idea, I knew he could take care of himself, it's just, I'm worried, in our last school he was bullied, badly, bad enough when mom saw his bruises after he got back from school, she decided enough, was enough, she got him to get out from that school, and put him to homeschool.
"Of course I am, don't worry about me I'll be fine" he said with a assuring smile, he only smiled to me, Not to anyone else within the family, or anyone in particular, he was always reserved, but I wanted him to make friends, even just one friend.
"But, remember, what happened to you in your school back in Canada, you were beat up, I couldn't handle you being beaten up, not again" I said in my worried tone, of course I was worried, what if he gets more than just being beaten up?
He took off his ear plugs and put a hand over my shoulder, squeezing it lightly "Kay I'll be fine. Get over it! It was 2 years ago, I didn't know how to handle myself back then"
Well, I guess he's right, it was 2 years ago, he was just 12. Though the thought still made me worry though, if they could bully him that much when he was 12, they could do it worse now he's 14. Ugh... I should really trust him more, he had Karate though, I know he can defend himself.
"you're right, you were younger back then, I know you could handle yourself well now." I said looking him straight in his Blue eyes.
He nodded and hugged me, "what is this for?" He let out a small laugh "it's just that, you're the only one who cares about me and stuff, thank you".
Wow. Okay. He's rarely like this, he only hugs me if he has a problems.
"Josh, what's the problem?" I ask.
He shrugged "why? Can't I hug you? It's just very comforting, I love you" I pulled away and gave him a sly smile "awww, why is Joshy-poo being soft all of a sudden?"
He pouts and points a accusing finger at me "don't call me that" I do the same "I want to call you that and I will always call you that" I said and gave him a smile "come on, lets go inside and sleep, we have school tomorrow"
We stand up and walk inside the house, and I help Joshua with his room.
I walk inside my room after I bid Joshua a goodbye and a flying kiss which he replies with a disgusted expression on his face.
"Humf, what a long day" I mumble to my self after I walk inside my room, I throw myself to my king sized bed, "I'm going to another school, and I need to adjust. Again. Ugh, why does it have to be like this? Always like this!" I shout in frustration.
Why the heck is it always, moving, new school, new friends, get close to friends, need to move again, leave friends, and be forced to forget my friends. And I always end up with tears, it's super annoying.
After ranting, I get up from my bed, and wash up, and go to bed, and drift to a slumber sleep.
