"Yo, Jasmine. Get up. I need food," My Big sister whined. I pulled my blanket over my head quickly.

"Come on! I've had nothing to eat since 6:00 in the morning, please!" she pleaded. After a solid minute of silence, she grabbed my blanket and ripped it off of my body, showing my  shorts and a loosely tank top. I lifted up my head and glared daggers into her wide brown eyes.

"Ana I just got out of school! Why can't I just sleep for two hours!"I groaned loudly, my curly hair flying everywhere. She sighed and gave me puppy dog eyes, her brown eyes glazing with unshed tears, her mouth puffing out into a frown.

I yelled out a groan and jumped out of bed. Grabbing my blue robe and slippers, I stomped down stairs. As my feet stopped at the last step my eyes noticed a huge birthday cake that read "Happy Birthday Jas"!

I looked around and saw her coming up to me. She threw her  huge arms around me and gave me a huge bear hug. "Happy Birthday JASMINE!" She squealed.

"So did you eat?" I spoke annoyed, my voice having a pinch of sas.

She smacked my head playfully, knowing instantly that spoke rudely. She smashed me more into her arms and started  jumping around. After five minutes with her jumping she stopped and dragged me to the table, her big eyes looking at me excitedly. "Blow out your candle!" She yelled. I sighed softly, feeling a small smile appear on my face, my face leaned in close and blew out the candle, smelling the smoke as it hit my face.

"YAY! You're finally seventeen!," She yelled exasperatedly. In a flash she threw me a wrapped up gift. Admiring the purple box with a soft delicate bow on top, I couldn't help but think that the gift she gave me I something that i'm going to cherish. I smiled and opened the present.

My eyes widened as I made eye contact with a picture of my parents. My mother's long curly hair was laid out loosely, a white summer hat was placed on her head with her soft yellow summer dress.  My father was right beside her, his black straight hair was moved professionally towards the side, a white short-sleeved shirt and a brown knee length pants. Then I saw Ana, my dad was carrying her, having her tiny body around his shoulders.

They were all smiling.

I looked up at Ana and saw a soft smile on her mouth. "This is the last picture that I have of them. We were celebrating mom's birthday, and we all went to the beach." I gently nodded as I  could feel tears ready to come out. I gave out a shaky breath and flew my sister a huge smile.

"Thanks Ana!" I spoke shakily. She chuckled and gave me a hug, smooching my cheek as she pulled away. "No problem, Jas." she spoke sweetly. I chuckled and ran towards the cake, getting ready to devour it.

I smoothed out my hair, seeing my tiny curls popping out of my rubber band. I growled and ignored how messed up my hair is today. Running downstairs I saw Ana pouring milk for me, her fashionable purse laying over her shoulder. "Hello sleeping beauty, how was your sleep?," she questioned, her eyes looking at mine as she cleared the small puddle of milk that she spilled out of the cup. I walked towards her and sat down on the stool. "My sleep was fine. How was yours? You seem quite happy today," I spoke softly. She snorted loudly.

"Why can't I hide anything from you!" She yelled. I smirked and leaned against the corner. "It's because I can read minds," I teased. We both bursted out in laughter, my sister making these weird snorts as if she's a pig rolling in the mud.

"I heard there is a new people in town. Everyone's saying that they're extremely hot," She said after we calmed down. I suddenly got stiff.. In my town if we hear there's a new person everyone won't stop talking about it till the poor guy is in a coffin. "Yeah. I forgot his name, but you would say he's ugly. " I spoke. My sister shushed me.

"Stop being mean, Jasmine." She spoke coldly. My sister never really like it when I was mean to other people.

"Well I'm heading off to Hell. I'll see you later." I see my sister scowl at my language and shood me off. I chuckled and walked out the door.

I sighed as the teacher kept on talking about the civil war. Civil war this, Civil war that. I mean no disrespect against those lives, but if you know everything about the Civil War it gets a little bit boring or rather annoying in a while.

"Jasmine. Where and when was Winfield Scott Hancock born?" Mr. Stenros spoke impatiently. I scowled as he had to picked me when I wasn't paying attention.

"I don't know... I'm guessing in the early 1820's? I believe he was  born in Pennsylvania" I spoke briefly. He howled out in laughter.

"Thats incorrect Mrs. Prince. He was actually born in the late 1930's, and was born in Ohio," He spoke correctly. Daniel snorted loudly, his face in an amusing smile. Mr. Stenros growled at him.

"Is something the matter Mr. Ainsley?" He questioned coldly. Daniel gave him a sparkling smile making the girls all around him swoon.

"I believe you are talking about George Armstrong Custer, Sir." He said ecstatically. Mr. S chuckled softly.

"Your incorrect, Mr. Ainsley. If you don't know anything maybe you should probably shush up," He spoke, his temple pulsing with anger. I flipped open my history book and flipped towards the civil war section, instantly popping up George Armstrong Custer, showing that he was indeed born in the late 1830's and was born in Ohio. I smirked evilly.

I looked up at Mr. Stenros. "Sorry to bust your bubble, Mr. Stenros, but your wrong. George Armstrong Custer was born in New Rumley, Ohio on the year of 1839," I spoke teasingly. My eyes eyeing the paragraph where and when George Armstrong Custer was born. He growled out and ripped my history book out my hands, his eyes looking into the book.

His eyes widened as he saw the paragraph. "I-apologize. Mrs. Prince you were correct," He spoke softly, his eyes adverting the book in frustration. He handed my book and got back into teaching, not before clearing his throat awkwardly. I turned my head and made eye contact with Daniel his eyes looking funnily at mine.

"It seems you know a lot more than I expected you to," He said teasinly. I smiled and punched him gently on the shoulder.

"I thought you were anti- social " I sneered. He chuckled lightly and patted my head like I was four.

"Your the same as ever, Jasmine," he spoke softly. I quirked my eyebrow at him but just regarded it.

Does he know me?
