There are many conventions when we talk about Dark Fantasy, but here at DarkFantasyReads, we are concerned with stories that have darker, grittier, and more serious tones when it comes to their worlds, plots, and character arcs. All subgenres of Fantasy still apply (high/epic, sci-fantasy, romance, urban, low, etc.), and horror isn't a requirement, but it can be present so long as the main genre is Fantasy and has many elements related to Fantasy.
We are a community dedicated to curating the delectably dark selection of Fantasy stories on the wide, orange world of Wattpad, and our goal is to always give you exquisite new reads and new authors to try out.
