Connor was surprised by her outburst. He raised his eyebrows, staring at her with a look that was almost concerning.
"Is there something wrong, Eden?" He asked carefully, lowering his head so that his eyes were level with hers. When he received no response he straightened up, his posture tense. "Is this a part of your program? I understand that a model as advanced as yourself might operate differently." He paused, planning his words deliberately so as to not upset her. "I... I just find it strange that you act so irrationally. Behaving like this may complicate the mission."
He watched the android intently, questions swarming in his head. Why would Cyberlife give the RK900 such an unpredictable temperament? What approach were they hoping to go for, what goal were they trying to achieve? Perhaps by giving Eden common traits like human volatility it would help her to work better with humans?
Or was his partner simply a deviant?
Looking at the taller android she kept her hands hidden foe the time being until they stopped shaking "Look, Connor. Im not like normal Androids, I'm not even like the Rk900 they have in stock. I'm more complicated..." She stopped as her LED flickered red for a two seconds before continuing talking.
"Amanda will be explaining what i am to you, I'm not going to complicate the mission at all, more likely i am going to make it ten times easier if it goes to plan," She informs Him Looking away, her arms started to twitch and shake. This wasn't going well like Amanda had told her, she knew she wasn't ready for anything that was coming her way but she couldn't not listen to her authorities and her creators
The explanation Eden gave was far from informative, but he saved his questions and kept his doubts to relay to Amanda during his next report.
As she spoke, Connor noticed her LED briefly turn red, and he couldn't ignore the slight twitch the android was displaying. He decided to notify her on the assumption that she was damaged.
"Your form seems unstable." He told her, reaching out for her shaking arm. "You might want to run a diagnostic of your systems."
"I'm not unstable, i know what the problem is and it's fine, just leave it alone," she growls as she moved away from him and walked through the exit back into the building. As she got into the communication room she looked at all of the police officers and detective, some of them looked at her with cold eyes.
She looked at the floor with the rest of the human bodies that were dead from the androids that had passed through. She had somewhat calmed her arms and hands down as She walked through the officers to the elevator
Connor trailed behind her without saying another word. Despite what she had ensured him, the RK900 was doing the exact opposite of what she promised--hindering the mission.
As he walked through broadcast room where the rest of the officers lingered, he made a quick stop to inform the Lieutenant of his findings and then continued off in search of Eden. He managed to catch up with her as she approached the elevator.
After a long awkward silence, Connor finally spoke. "I'm sorry if something I said offended you." He apologized, watching her closely for a reaction. "I think we got off to a bad start, but we should put out differences aside and focus on the mission."
His eyes wandered the room as he tried to find a way to reconcile with her. "I don't really understand how you function, but if you explain it to me then perhaps it would be easier for me to stop provoking you." He offered with a pleasant smile. Trying to get along with his new partner was becoming a challenge.
She folded her arms and sighed slightly while She listened to him talk about what was going on and apologizing, when he asked for her to show him what she could do, her LED flickered yellow as she thought about it and what Amanda would say if he knew, but he was her partner now he should know what she was capable of doing.
as she turned to face him, moving in front of him she put her hands out in front of her "Place your hands on my and i will show you," she says with a stern look on her face, her hands started shaking lightly as she waited for him to take her hands
He stared at her for a moment, his own LED flashing yellow. He then gently took her hands and prepared himself to witness her memory.
He wasn't sure what to expect, but he was hoping that whatever he saw would help him understand her and improve their relationship. The mission was depending on it.
As he took her hands, she let him into her memories starting from the very beginning when she woke up after being built, Amanda stood in front of her as she was laid out on a bench in a white room "Rk900S is now complete and awake Amanda," a males voice said as the table moved "Perfect, she looks like a canvas.. Ready to be what ever we want, the white hair and silver eyes just makes her stand out from the rest until she is activated,"
Eden looked at the women standing in front of her, confused on what she was talking about she spoke "What's going on?" She asked looking around the room Amanda smiled at her "Rk900S, welcome to your new life as an android. You are our very special android and we hope for you to complete your missons," she said placing her hand against Edens cheek "RK900S register your name," the man said as he looked at Amanda "Your name is Eden," she says
Her memories go black then back into the garden, Amanda is watering her garden "Amanda, you called for me?" She said in a sweet voice, Amanda turns and looks at her with a smile "Yes dear, come here she says placing her arms out in front of her, Eden stand in front of her as Amanda places her hands on her shoulders "Rk900S activate Shift" Amanda says in a stern voice.
Eden's body begins to shake as she shuts down. Waking up she is laying on the floor, her hands out in front of her but they weren't her hands they were dark skinned and looked like Amandas hands, she quickly sat up and started to look at her body, quickly getting up and running over to water to see her reflection. She looked exactly like Amanda "W-what happened.." her voice was also different.
She felt Amandas hands on her head "You are finally complete my Dear, this is your purpose shifting into another android or human. You are remarkable and will come in handy, now Rk900s activate Eden," her memories stopped as she pulled away from connor, her eyes filled with tears she wiped them away folding her arms again looking down at the ground
