Chapter 2

"yeah" I smiled

"are you ok?"

"yeah, Ace and I just got in a fight"

"he called you a rouge huh?"

"yeah"

"I'm sorry, you know he didn't mean to"

"yes he did"

"again I'm sorry"

"it fine, I have to get to class"

"alright, see you at lunch" I gave her a smile then walked to class. On my way I smelt this amazing scent. It was the scent of pine and lemon, I loved that scent. I followed it and I guess it came from a person that was following my scent. I ran right into the last person I wanted to see, Chase.

*Chase's P.O.V.*

I was walking with my friends when all of the sudden I could smell this intoxicating scent. It was the scent of roses and lavender. My friends noticed it and pushed me.

"go find her bro" I didn't think twice. I followed the scent. She was looking for me too, I knew because we ran into each other. I smiled at her and she just looked shocked. Mona Taylors. My wolf then spoke up.

'MATE, THAT'S HER!' he yelled excited.

'she's gonna reject me, you know that right'

'what if she changed her mind' she then walked around me like I was just another guy.

'look what happened'

'her wolf is nice'

'what!'

'oh I might have spoken to her wolf, she's hot!'

'Blake calm down, she'll reject us"

'don't think like that! Her wolf and I really like each other, her wolf was begging her'

'she could shut her out like I'm going to do with you"

"wait" I then shut him out and walked to class.

*Mona's P.O.V.*

After class I walked to the cafeteria. I can't believe he's my mate. And after I told him about rejecting my mate. Oh crap, he's here, talking to my friends.

'what do I do?'

'DON'T REJECT HIM!'

'he's not worth it'

'shut up he's our mate of course he is!"

"hey Mo" Riley said from behind me

"hey Riley, want to come with me to my locker?"

"why?"

"umm, I forgot my lunch money"

"shouldn't it be in your wallet, that's also in your hand? What are you hiding?"

"hey Mona" Chase said walking over to me, crap.

"oh, sorry but I'm hungry" she walked over to the table and Chase walked over to me

"hi" he gave me a warm smile, I wanted to melt

"can we talk?"

"sure" we walked out the cafeteria into the hallway

"what?"

"mine" he said before pulling me into a hug

"I'm sorry Chase, but I-I can't"

"what do you mean?"

"I Mona Taylors reject you, Chase Morgans"

"Mona, please don't do this" I never thought I would see an alpha beg

"I'm sorry Chase but I have to"

"why?"

"I can't tell you"

"but we're mates"

"no we aren't, I rejected you" I then ran off, out of school, and into the woods. My heart broke and my wolf howled with sorrow.

'I hate you! How could you do that to him!" she cried

'that was for you, I can't let anyone know about you! We'll be killed'

'he would never do that to you, and your friends are in his pack'

'shut up Sage!' I felt tears fall down my cheeks then I heard rustling in the bushes

"who's there"

"don't worry it's just me" Ace said walking over to me

"why are you here?"

"I saw what happened, I knew you needed a friend to talk to"

"I thought I was just some rouge"

"no your not, you're my best friend and the golden wolf"

"shh, thanks"

"why did you reject him?"

"for her"

"your wolf?"

"yeah, I want her safe, I want to be a rouge so other rouges will leave me alone"

"why don't you tell him? You know your not the only one keeping a secret about your wolf"

"he's a special wolf too?"

"no but there is one in our pack, you'll be safe"

"alright, I'll be friends with him no more no less"

"that's going to hurt" Ace laughed and walked away

'he's right'
