**Hey guys!! I know not everyone reads the notes at the start and end of chapters but I just wanted to say a quick thank you for reading my book!! Also if you find any grammatical mistakes please comment it POLITELY, I wish to expand on my grammar skills. I hope you enjoy!!**

I walk down the street with my best friend, Millie, who has just come over to see me. The park is just up the road and because the house is boring as hell we've got to entertain ourselves in the park up the road. As we walk down the street in our trackies and thongs, we start to move to the other side of the road.

All of a sudden a white van starts to circle around us, trying to be discrete but failing miserably. I turn to Millie.

"Do you see that van?" My voice shakes as I ask

"Yeah, what do we do?" by the sounds of her voice, she was just as scared as I was.

"I don't know, just pretend that they aren't there"

So we do exactly that, the van starts to get faster and faster, and so do our footsteps. We get to the park that is usually filled with children of all ages and dogs and couples holding hands going down the path and parents watching their children interact with each other. But it was deserted.

The van stops in the parks car park and a man about the age of 50 gets out. He's butch and tattooed, with expensive sunglasses on. Overall very intimidating. Millie and I walk to the swings and start to swing and laugh. We forget about the man for the 30 minutes we were talking, laughing and trading secrets.

But it all goes downhill when we see the man sitting on a park bench about ten feet away from us. We stay quiet, looking to see what the man's next move is but he just sits there, staring at us.

"We should get home, mum will be worrying," I say, even though we both know well that she isn't home, it's just an excuse to leave and get home, now.

Millie nods and gets off of the swing. We get up and start walking home again, staying on the path and not on the dry, brown grass on the side and as staying close to each other as we can, our arms touching. I turn around to see if the man is still sitting in the seat but am surprised to see that he is missing.

Millie suddenly stops and I turn back around to see what the commotion was but am pulled back by Millie's hand as she turns to run. I see that the man is in front of us and has tried to grab us. Millie has always been one of those naturally athletic people, me on the other hand, have not and struggle to keep up with Millie's strong strides.

A hand pulls me back, and he reaches out to grab Millie. I go to kick his arm away from her but he gets a hold of her t-shirt, pulling her back and making her fall onto the concrete footpath. She hits her head on the ground and is knocked out, blood pours onto the path.

"MILLIE!! SOMEONE HELP ME!! HELP!!" I scream at the top of my lungs. The last thing I see is the man throw a fist at my face before passing out next to Millie on the concrete path.
