Wedding Season

Aarushi's POV
"Aarushi yaar jaldi kar. Iske bhai aa gey to jaan le lenge hamari" Sameeksha said to me. Bandana's brothers I tell you, scariest creatures on the Planet.

Sumedh's family was coming to talk about our marriage. When they found out about Bandana and Sameeksha, the made a proposal for their marriages too.

Sumedh has two elder brothers, Abhishek and Manjot. Abhishek's proposal was for Sameeksha and Manjot's proposal was for Bandana.

Bandana's family invited the Sharmas and mine and Sameeksha's family at their place, in order to discuss everything.

Well, Sameeksha knew Abhishek through me. And Bandana...her family doesn't really care about her likes and dislikes, and I believe Manjot just wants to get married to someone so he agreed to meet Bandana.

"Hor kinna time laggega?" Bandana's brother asked standing at the door, "Veerji...ho gaya bas" Bandana said without looking up.

"Itna kyu darrti hai apne bhaio se, kha nhi jaenge tujhe!" I said, "Aarushi, it's okay na" Sameeksha said. I looked away, we were finally ready.

I took a deep breath and we left the room.

"Yaha to fauj aai hui hai" I whispered as we saw everyone sitting in the veranda.

"Itne log to poore pind me nhi hai" Bandana said scared, "pind ko chod ab. Finally yaha se nikal rhi hai tu" Sameeksha said.

We picked the trays that had snacks and tea and went in front of the guests.

Sumedh looked at me, I smirked and winked at him, he smiled and looked away.

We were asked to sit in front of the three boys.

"Eh Bandana hai. Saddi behen" Bandana's brother said. Bandana folded her hands without looking up. "Yeh Sameeksha hai" Sameeksha's dad said. "Me Aarushi" I said before anyone could say a word.

No one replied, okay never mind.

Abhishek's POV
I took my phone out of my pocket and texted Daadi, "Sameeksha se baat karni hai. Karvao" Sent.

Daadi read the text, advantages of having a cool grandmother.

"Puttar me keh rhi si bacche ek dusre se baat karle to accha hoga" Daadi said all of a sudden.

"Oh ji baat kya karni isme..." Bandana's brother said, "hamare khayal se baat karna better hoga" Mandy said. I smiled.

"Accha ji, theek hai fir" They agreed.

Sameeksha took me to her room.

"Sameeksha, tum kucch poochna chahti ho mujhse?" I asked directly, she smiled. "Poochna to boht kucch tha, par fir Google kia to sab jawaab mil gey" She said. I chuckled.

"Daadi ne tumhe mere lie pasand kiya hai, unki pasand ho iss lie bina kucch jaane haan kar di thi mene. Bas ek baar baat karna chahta tha tumse" I said, she blushed a bit.

"I guess tumhe kucch nhi poochna ab" I said after an awkward silence, "Daadi ne tumhara number diya tha. I'll call you tonight, tab baat karenge, okay?" I asked. She smiled and nodded.

"Are you sure about this marriage?" I asked before leaving, she nodded, "aapke liye kon sure nhi hoga" She said. I smiled, that made me feel so good.

"M...mera matlab...sure naah hoti to yaha aati hi nhi na" She covered up, I chuckled at her cuteness.

Manjot's POV
Bandana and I went to the terrace.

"Umm...mera naam Manjot Sharma hai" I said forwading my hand awkwardly, she did the hand shake with a soft grip.

"So...Bandana, right?" I asked, she nodded, "cricket me koi interest hai?" I asked, she shook her head.

Ouch...

"Tumhe...cricket me interest nhi?" I asked, she shook her head again, "tumhe pata hai me national level cricketer hu?" I asked just in case she didn't know.

She immediately looked up, "ji???" She asked. Finally she said something, "tumhe pata nhi tha?" I asked surprised, "ji nhi. Mene Veerji ko aapka naam lete suna tha bas" She said.

I slapped my forehead and chuckled, "it's okay. Me India ke lie khelta hu" I said.

"Vese to kisi se bhi shaadi kar sakta tha but I don't trust myself, galat ladki ke saath poori life nhi bitani thi. Iss lie arranged marriage prefer kia. Tumhara rishta Sumedh ne suggest kia tha. Ghar pe sabne confirm kar dia to mene bhi kaha ke mil leta hu" I explained.

She nodded.

Okay, this is gonna be hard.

"Kitna parhi ho tum?" I asked, she's a village girl, I don't think she studied after 10th.

"Astrophysics me BSc complete kar li hai" She said, I widened my eyes.

"Wow!" I said, I was so impressed, "aage ka kya socha hai?" I asked, "isi field me Masters karungi aur fir hopefully ISRO" She said.

Wow, this girl does have dreams.

We talked a bit about her studies and then went downstairs.

Sameeksha and Aarushi's families left already.

Everyone was looking at me, I cleared my throat, "Bandana ne apni studies ke bareme bataya. Woh masters karna chahti hai par tab takk me wait nhi kar sakta, me chahta hu ke woh shaadi ke baad masters karle" I said.

Her brothers stood up, I got a bit scared.

"Bandana" One of them said, "aage parhna hai?" He asked, I looked at Bandana, she was scared.

"N...nhi" She said, ohkay so that's the reason behind a quiet and introvert Bandana.

"Lekin me chahta hu meri hone wali wife aage parhe" I said looking in her brother's eyes, "isko shaadi ki condition samajh lo" I said.

He sighed, "theek hai ji, jese aapki marzi" He said.
