"Ok, you know what? I don't feel protected, I doubt Mary feels protected. You try living for 15 years thinking that you are just two regular people and in 5 minutes, you find out you are a princess. Just in case, I'm not a freak already and Mary, a perfectionist, now let's add a tiara." Mia angrily said to our mother

"Well, drink your soup." Mom demanded softy to Mia, her voice quiet and hoarse from all the arguments that we had with her

"I'm not really hungry." Mia informed mom just as soft and I opened my eyes before turning around to face the window of my room, staring at the dark sky through the curtains

"Fine. Goodnight, sweetheart." Mom said to Mia closing her door before I heard footsteps coming to my room making me close my eyes firmly

I heard my mom's footsteps stop shortly after leaving Mia's room. I closed my eyes and did my best to even out my breathing. She started walking closer to me before I felt my bed dip a bit on the other side. I felt her lay down besides me sighing before turning on her side so that she would be facing my back.

"I'm sorry honey. I'm sorry that I lied to you. I just wanted to protect you, honey." I heard mom say as she rested her head on my pillow next to me

The sun was barely rising when I opened my eyes. I looked at the clock and winced quietly when it read 6am in big red bold color. I looked besides me to see my mother sleeping soundly next to me. I quickly went for a shower and brushed my teeth before getting myself ready for school and put a dark blue hair band before grabbing my bag and rushed out of the door grabbing my scooter from the doorway.

By the time I left my house it was 6:45am and I quickly made my way to Jeremiah's house to meet up with him. His parents were both on a business trip at Los Angeles and were coming back later today. I sighed in relief when I reached my destination and spotted the familiar white door that was peeling a bit here and there.

I knocked on the white door, hoping that he heard it. My question was answered when he opened the door, wearing his pajamas which basically was his red boxers and a black t-shirt with a black socks. I bit the inside of my cheek so I wouldn't laugh at him seeing as he had his red hair disheveled all around.

"Hey Jer." I greeted my boyfriend with a small smile on my lips and all he did was chuckle in amusement as he opened the door for me wider

"Thanks." I thanked Jeremiah, watching as walked a few feet to grab my scooter and place it inside the house

"What happened pretty girl?" He asked asked me, concern in his voice as I walked in after him and I made sure to lock the door.over to me and hugged me, placing his head over mine as I took deep breaths trying to calm myself down as I hugged him back tightly wrapping my arms around his neck

"A lot of things Jeremiah" I admitted to him making his entire body stiffen at my words since he knew it was serious if I called him by his first name

"It's going to be okay pretty girl, it always is in the end.No matter what, I'll be there for you." Jeremiah said as he walked over to me and gave me a big hug

"Thanks" I thanked Jeremiah, smiling up at him as he leaned down capture my lips in a kiss before placing his forehead over mine

**WE COULD BE ROYALS**

I was eating cereal as was Jeremiah who was dressed in his uniform with his hair gelled when my flip phone rang. I shared a look of confusion with Jeremiah wondering who was calling me this early in the morning before school. I grimaced when I spotted milk dripping down his chin and handed him a napkin. His face flushed a bit as he accepted it, cleaning his chin, freeing it of milk.
