Strangers

I put on my polka dot dress with my black pug shirt and then some sandals.

"Daddy I'm ready" I shouted as I carefully walked downstairs. My dad looked down and smiled. He then picked me up and spun me around.

"You need to stop growing" I laughed at his comment. He placed me down and put a plate with 2 pancakes with chocolate syrup on.

"Come on Chloe, sit up you don't want chocolate syrup all down your new outfit." I sat up immediately and took the plate from my dad. I thanked him whilst there was a mouthful of pancake in my mouth and chocolate syrup dribbling down it.

6:45 am.

"Okay time to go!" I raced my dad to the car and obviously he won.

"Seat belt on?" I nodded. He started to drive and I was looking out the window whilst hugging my stuffed bear. He was fuzzy and had one button eye, one glass eye. And he smelled like sweet candy. It was a 45 minute drive and I fell asleep. I mean damn waking up your child at 5:00 am is not a pretty sight.

12:30 pm.

I saw my dad walk up to the private nursery and I ran to him, waving behind me this boy I met a few hours ago. His name was Colby. Colby Brock.

"Hey Chloe, how was your first day?"
"Great! I met a new friend, his name is Colby!!" As soon as Colby heard his name he shot up and smiled at the both of us.

"Hi sir, im Colby" He shot his hand out for my dad to shake it, he did. I giggled and waved goodbye to him whilst he was walking towards his parents.

"So Chloe are you excited to go back tomorrow?" I nodded. I was excited to meet Colby again. I don't know, there was something about him, I can't put my finger on it.
