What a better way to start this than how I roleplay.
* I use those to insinuated action
For example :
*I then run to the tree to try to be the people I'm racing against *
Or for simple actions such as:
*sleeps* and *hugs*
Some people like to put " like they do in books or novels or quoting someone.
I don't do this but some people prefer to " the words and leave the actions with * or vice versa like I do.
Hope that makes sense.
Example of speaking with " is
"Hey!!! Give that back! " as I chase after the thief.
Or
"Well he started it! " as I stomped my foot on my ground acting like a child.
There's different type of roleplayers. There's ones who keep it simple :
•*hits you and then runs away laughing * haha haha!
•"whatever "
•*hugs *
Like one word or a simple statement. I'm usually like this but I do sometimes get into story mode where I over load with details:
•*as I run across the feild I noticed a little flower. The prettiest flower I have ever seen. I stop almost falling over then carefully go to the little flower and admire Its beauty. So I take out my camera and click! The essence it holds is now duplicated in the photo I will cherish* "that's a keeper you tiny little thing! You sure made my day."
Did I mention sometimes people in story mode, as I say, use both * and "? No? Well I just did.
Two last things I wanna touch base on.
Always have a character in mind. You can use the same character or make up a new one every time. If you are wondering how to make a character maybe take reference from peoples OCS (original characters). Or at least an oc bored. It shows the character and their personality and stuff. I mean you don't have to make a physical one. Maybe make a mental one! Where you have the character in your head and you say hey this is their personality and I need to do this or that. Sometimes it helps better imagine the character if your roleplaying partner has a reference photo and vice versa. Thus can be accomplished by either drawing or googling images similar to what you were imagining.
Lastly it might help if you have a story planed. Like going to meet at such and such and at this point in the adventure this will happen and blank is our end goal.
.... I tried my best to explain xp
Hoped I helped :)
