Old Friend

**Conner**

I got to work late this morning because this morning , my one night stand convinced me to stay a bit late if you know what I mean .... but since I'm the boss , I can come into work anytime I want. 

**Emma**

I woke up really late this morning . Out of all the days I need to wake up early , today isn't one of those days .
I have a job interview at a company that I  applied for and I'm hoping to get the job .

**Conner**

When I arrived at work , Kol , my assistant brought me my morning coffee and then told me what I need to do this morning which was to find an "assistant " to handle this big company changes and movement . I use the term loosely because this person isn't really going to be my assistant.   

This person will work with me like Kol does but this person will get to control what happens to these changes and movement of this big company. 
I won't need to be doing this if Kol could handle this but he can't .

**Emma**

I arrived just in time and a couple minutes later , I have to go into my interview.
I enter into Mr . Anderson's office and I sat down in one of his chairs .
There was no one in front of me but then I heard a voice behind me and it startled me. 
"Sorry . I see I startled you ," He said as he sat in his chair
"Its okay ," I said .

"Miss...
"Jones . Emma Jones ," I said .
"Sorry . I don't have your file with me here . I WISH SOMEONE WILL BRING ME IT !" He shouted loudly for someone to hear .
"I'LL BE RIGHT ON IT !" Someone shouted back .
"Why don't you tell me why I should give you the job ," He said .
I then started to tell Mr . Anderson about why I would love to work here .

"I'll let you know my decision ," He said and then I shook his hand and went out of office opening hoping that I got the job .

**Hours Later**
**Conner**

It has been hours later and I've decided who I want to hire for the job . I just hope she can work today .
"Kol !" I yelled.
"Yes sir ," He said as he came into my office in a matter of seconds .  He knows how much I hate late responses .
"Call Miss Jones and tell her she got the job then ask her if she can come in now ," I said not looking up from my computer. 

"Yes sir ," and then he disappeared .

**Emma **

I was in my car on my way to see my best friend Olivia , when my phone rang . I picked it up and the person said ," Is this Miss Jones ?".
"Yes ," I said. 
"I'm calling from Anderson Co to let you know you got the job and Mr . Anderson would like for you to come in now ," The person said .
"Sure ," I said and then I hung up and quickly shot Olivia a text that something came up but I'll explain later .

I then spun around and went back to Anderson Co .

**Conner**

I heard a knock on my door so I said ," Come in" .
"Mr . Anderson . You wanted to see me ?" Someone said .
I looked up from my computer and saw it was Miss Jones  .
"Yes Miss Jones .  Have a seat ," I said and she did .
I opened her file and said ," I choose you for the job.  Its says here .....
I stopped mid sentence when I read her full name .

Emma Brianna Jones

"Something wrong ?" She asked .
"Emily  ?" I said.
"How did you know that nickname ?" She asked me .
"Emily ?" I said again .
"Only one person knows that nickname ," She said .

**Emma **

I looked at Mr . Anderson's name on his desk and then I realized it .
"Con ," I said .
"Emily ," He said once again. 
"Hey ," I said as I got up and hugged him .
"I didn't recognize you at all ," He said .

**Conner**

"Yeah , I got rid of the glasses , braces and bangs ," She said .
"I had no idea I hired you until I read your middle name ," I said. 
We then went back to talking about the job and what she needs to do .
When we were done , I said ," So , how are you ? What happened ? It's been a long time ".

"I'm fine . After I got transferred , I still kept my promise but you didn't . I then stopped , and focused on my school work . I graduated and went to Harvard University and then I had a job but I wasn't happy there so I decided to apply here ," She said .

**Emma**

"Oh . I-
He was about to say something when someone came in .
"Hey baby ," Someone girl said as she sat on Conner's lap and kissed him aggressively .
"....Hey," Conner said kissing her back .
"I'm gonna -
I was cut off by Conner saying ," No . Charlotte this is my childhood friend . Emily this is my friend".
She then whispered something in his ears and then I used that opportunity to leave .

As I closed the door , I heard moaning .  It's good thing  I left when I left . But if he's her friend , why are they having sex in his office. 
"I see you met Charlotte ," Someone said .
"Huh ?" I asked as I turned around .
"I said I see you met Charlotte ," The person said.
"Oh yeah ," I said .

"They do that almost everyday ," The person said. 
"Wow . I didn't know Conner became that type of person over the years ," I said in my head .
"I'm Emma ," I said .
"I'm Kol ," Kol said extending his hand out for me to shake and I did.
Then Conner came out of his office and everyone scrambled back to work and so did Kol .

Great . At least made I a new friend. 
"Let me show you what you will be working on ," Conner said and then I heard some low whistles being made .
He then showed me what I have to do and then he said ," Sorry we got interpreted . I was going to ask you why would you stop the messages ?".
"Well I needed to stop in order to have money for college and you didn't reply ," I said .

"Oh ," He says . Oh is all he can say?
"So Charlotte . When are you gonna propose ?" I asked him. 
He chuckled and said ," Never ".
"Why not ? You did have sex with her in your office. By the way , you need to have your office sound proofed ," I said .
"She's just someone  I call when I need her . I'm never putting a ring on that ," He said. 

"Don't need to make her sound so bad ," I said .
"I wasn't trying to ," He said .
"What happened to you ?" I asked him
He was taken aback by what I said .
