Si Ivan. Tipaklong na yun! Ano kayang pinagsasasabi ng hinayupak na yun kay Blaire? Di kaya binabackstab na ko ng hudyong yon?

“So kinwento sayo ni Ivan pati yung kay Zeke?”

“Uhm... Not really? I don’t know the whole story. I just know that you had a boyfriend named Zeke and that he broke up with you, tried to patch things up but then he wasn’t able to win you back. By the way t’was a good decision you made. Once a guy left you, there’s a big possibility of him leaving you again just like that. Girls like us don’t deserve that kind of treatment, you know. He’s a jerk. What did he think of you? A yoyo? That if his hand gets numb for holding you, he’s gonna let you fall just like that and if he wants you back he’ll simply pull you back? He’s a scumbag.”

Napanganga na lang ako sa litanya ni Blaire. Okay. Hindi nya daw alam yung buong storya pero ang dami nyang nasabi. Talaga bang nalaman nya lang yung ibang tungkol sakin sa pangiistalk o nililinis nya lang ang pangalan ni Vano?

“And you know what? You should really get over him! He’s not worthy enough for your tears! He doesn’t even deserve to be an issue in your life! You shouldn’t have met him in the first place!”

“Ah, eh kalma ka lang Blaire ha. May pinanghuhugutan ka ba? Si Zeke pa ba yung pinag-uusapan natin?”

Nanlaki naman ang mata nya at inayos ang sarili.

“Uhm... Partly yes, partly no.” sinarado nya ang ipad na kanina nya pang napanggigigilan at inilapag sa mesa. Tumabi sya sakin, iniharap ako sa kanya, at hinawakan ang magkabilang pulso ko.

“Leeanne, do you know what hurts the most when it comes to love?”

Hindi ko alam kung san patungo ang usapan namin pero dahil mukang wala naman akong choice kundi sagutin ang mga tanong nya, gora na lang.

“Uhm, pag nagbreak kayo?”

“Nah. You can still be back together.”

“Pag may bago na syang girlfriend.” Nako damang-dama ko to dati.

“Nah.”

“Hindi pa rin? Ang sakit kaya nun pag may bago na sya.”

“I’m sure you know the ‘rebound’ concept. The relationshit may not work then you can still be back together.”

WOW. Pareho sila ng pinaglalaban ni Vano ah?

“Alam ko na! Kapag hindi ka na mahal ng taong mahal mo. Syempre pag wala nang love hindi na sila magkakabalikan diba. Chaka kung magkabalikan man, awa na lang yun. Yun ang masakit.”

“You have a point there, but still, no. It’s not the worst case.”

“Eh di ano? Siret na.”

“It’s loving someone who can’t love you back. Breaking up with your partner doesn’t mean you don’t love each other anymore. If he has found a new partner, it doesn’t mean that he’s fallen out of love with you. And even if he really has fallen out of love with you, at least you had his love before. You had known how it feels to be loved. But loving someone who can’t love you back? It’s a disaster. You can’t even fool yourself to think that the feeling is mutual because you never knew the feeling of being loved. They say the best feeling in the world is to love and be loved. So the worst case scenario is not being loved back by the one you love.”

Okay. Ang lalim talaga nitong si Blaire. May pinanghuhugutan ba talaga sya? Pero sa tingin ko kasi may masakit pa dun. Yung magmahal ka ng taong hindi ka na nga nagawang mahalin, may mahal pang iba. O diba combination yun ng 2nd & 3rd scenario?
