Chosen

chapter 1 the beginning

 *sage above*

I was playing in my room oblivious to the world around me when i heard a scream. It sounded like my father it scared me so i went out my bedroom  into the hallway. I stopped when i saw my fathers bloody dead body and my mother rushing twords me i looked at her and asked "mommy whats wrong with daddy why dose he have red stuff all over him" my mother looked down at me "sweety daddy is gone but i need you to go to your room and hide in your celler under your bead can you do that for mommy dear"? i looked at her and nodded my head all i wanted to do was make her happy i reponded with a "yes mommy" and ran off to my room to the trapdoor under my bed . 

i got  into the celler and closed to trap door but then i remembered my mommy so i asked "mommy what about you" i could hear the sadness in her voice when she told me "sweety im going to keep the bad men away from you and no matter what you hear i dont want you to make a sound or come out till the knights come get you okay sweety" . it hurt to hear her say that bc it sounded like a goodbye. 

Not long after she said that i heard a deep voice the voice scared me but i stayed quiet like mommy told me. I heard the man with the scary voice say some thing that shattered me the man said to the other men "kill everyone left in this house" i heard foot steps in the floor it sounded like they were comeing to where me and mommy were. i heard my door open with a bang and my mommy's voice "w-what do you want from me" the scary man just laughed "what do i want simple i want you dead ha" next thing i heard was a piercing scream and the vulger sound of blade on flesh. 

I then heard   one of the men i heard before say to the man who just killed my mommy "the house is clear sir" the man respond to him "great lets move out set this place a flame hahaha" the man simply said "yes sir" and soon i was smelling smoke and i passed out ' i awoke to someone lifting me out of the ash that once was my home and saying "it will be okay little one it will be okay" the voice it sounded like a women's voice. i just nodded and passed back out 

*end of dream/flashback*

"aghh, shit i really need to stop dreaming about that" i woke up in a vary upset mood.i got up from my so called bed and stretched. i heard something so i rotated my ears to find out what it was. yes i said rotate i'm a katkin what you don't know what they are well i guess i could tell you their basically half cat half human some have the body of the cat but walk on two legs or have some characteristics  of a cat like me i have the ears and tail as well as agility and reflex's and if i want claws.

Anyway i rotated my ears so i can better hear whats going on on the street below. i live in an abandoned bell tower and no the bell is missing. i looked to the street below and saw the soldiers chasing as i can hear he was a thief. sigh this place is never quiet i go and get dressed for my life of being a street rat and scavenging the desert surrounding this city that i live in.
