Rhodolite's Escape To Earth

S1E1: The Fusion

Spinel was a gem who wanted to be free on Earth, she was told about the planet by a conjoined Rutile; a fusion who called herself 'Rhodonite'; an orange Sapphire and a fusion composing of six gems. She had researched the planet and grew a liking to its history, Pink Diamond and the Crystal Gems. She would not be able to escape being as she was now, if someone saw her, her Pearl would get taken away and she would be shattered. She had earned a her own Pearl after she had successfully commanded 12 missions. Pearl and Spinel had knowledge about fusion after they accidentally fused when protecting Spinel. This would be Spinel's disguise, she had already decided on the name: Rhodolite.

''Pearl, I need to you to do me a MASSIVE favour,'' Spinel carefully said as she approached her loyal Pearl.                                                          ''Yes, my Spinel?''                                       ''I need you to fuse with me...for a long time, like, a really long time,'' Pearl seemed taken aback but she sighed as if she were calming herself down and accepted, ''Of course, m-my Spinel!'' Spinel grabbed Pearl's hand lightly and brought her to the middle of the ballet hall-like arena.

In each corner of the arena, massive polished quartz pillars stood like soldiers. The Great Diamond Authority symbol on was printed onto the floor, with the Pink Diamond slightly less visible than the others, a cruel reminder of the demise of the diamond. The arena was crumbling and the row of seats were almost gone. The place bared great resemblence to the Ancient Sky Arena that was used when Earth was being colonised.

Pearl stood still while Spinel got ready. She asked her why she wasn't moving. She shyly explained that she did not know how to fuse. She smiled, explained and lead her. Pearl's moves were elegant and smooth like ballet while Spinel's were quick and sharp. They fused.

Rhodolite was blue and red, after all, a blue and red gem combining for the second time without one of them poofing before would stay the same. She had big, fluffy, blue and red hair that looked like cotton candy. She blinked through the four eyes she would be seeing through for the next 10 or so years. She had two red, art nouveau sleeves and gloves on both hands. she had a diamond-shaped hole in the chest area with silk material covering it. Large, see-through trousers advertised her ripped, blue and pink socks.

''Is this...fusion?'' Rhodolite paused for a few seconds, ''I...feel...GREAT! This is fusion, I'm a fusion, Spin- Pearl, wanna know my- our name now? It's gonna be Rhodolite, I decided before, pretty cool, right?'' She jumped with happiness, ''Oh, of course I- we love it!'' She hugged herself and looked down at the back of her hand where Pearl's gemstone was located, she then pulled up her glove, ''Gotta keep it a secret. Ok, Rhodolite, we need to start our journey, let's go!'' She began to walk but hesitated, ''Do we even have a plan..? No, we don't, we need to think of one!''

''So, we will stand out as a fusion regardless...Right!'' She stood up and then suddenly...POOF! The two unfused and looked at each other with confused looks, ''Why did we unfuse?'' asked Spinel                              ''This is wrong, my Spinel, fusion of two different gems... is not acceptable, my Spinel.''                                                ''Pearl, you will do as I say! Please just this for me, I own you, you will do as I say! Don't say 'my Spinel' as well, we need to be close if we're gonna fuse!'' exclaimed Spinel.  Pearl blushed bright blue.                                    '           ''Right, S-Spinel, well, let's fuse again,'' said the blue Pearl timidly. The two fused into Rhodolite and hugged herself shyly, ''I'm me again... Ok! Focus, let's go!''

The fusion ran out and ran into the place where the Ruby ships had been stored, though these ships had been around for about 4,000 years so they were damaging, they needed an engineer, a person to fix all of these ships. They would have to visit the off-colours!

Using the ship that Spinel owned (that could only travel slightly above the surface), they reached the off-colours in no time. They walked into the entrance and shouted to the rock that lead into their Kindergarten, their base, ''Hey, it's Spinel!'' After around two minutes, the rock was fully out of the way from Rutile pushing it, ''Come in--INTRUDER!''       
''No, no, I'm just Spinel, fused with my Pearl, my name's Rhodolite! Look!'' She showed her Pearl and Spinel gem.  Rutile told the others that it was okay to come out and she saw Rhodonite, who looked quite similar to her current state, just different colours, ''I need help, do any of you know of an engineer?'' No's filled the Kindergarten.

''Sorry, Rhodolite, we don't know any, but we often find off-colours on the run on the surface, you could try look there!''

''RUTILE! THAT IS RISKY! What about those SHATTERING robonoids?!'' exclaimed the nervous Rhodonite. She looked at Rutile as though she were crazy. Rhodolite sat down as they discussed

''You...have...a...ship...don't...you, Rhodolite? You...could...use...that...to...ride...around...on...the surface...'' proposed the six-gem fusion as the orange sapphire announced that Spinel and Pearl had fused. The Sapphire, who Spinel had heard Rhodonite call Padparadscha, was unlike other Sapphires as she could only predict the things that just happened. Normal Sapphires, that the two had seen before, were blue and could only predict the future.

''Come again~!'' yelled Rutile as Padparadscha announced that their name would be Rhodolite. Rhodolite got into her white ship and began searching around on the surface. After a while of searching, she began to lose hope, until she heard screaming, ''WAAHHHHHHH!'' A Turquoise guard was running on the surface! This was her chance!
