CHAPTER
Zoey's POV
"Zoey I don't understand why the hell you didn't want to come to this party." Madelyn started saying trying to convince me to like going but at this point I was just pissed.
I glared at her, "You wanting to hook up with some other girl or me isn't going to change my mind!!" I stated angrily. Madelyn continued to convince me as I turned up the music on the radio and stared out the window. Besides the last time I went to a party I ended up biting someone. That is one reason and only one reason I didn't want to go to this stupid fucking party! I glanced over out the door to our carriage thingy and saw the door knob shaking I elbowed Madelyn in the arm, Madelyn and me looked over at the door. It swung open to show are strange friend Jenna.
"I hope I'm not being a emotional helper friend at this party again, like at least for one fucking party can we just have fun." She requested as she stepped in the moving carriage. Jenna opened her sparkly blue bag and slowly pulled out a blue and black dress. I started to get board again until I noticed something strange but then I forgot what that was and just zoned out.
We looked away as Jenna changed into the blue and black dress. Once she finished Madelyn started to lecture her about getting on the carriage while it was moving. I began to think about the party. 'Why the fuck is there a masquerade party! This is the fucking 21st century! Who threw this! What if Madison dresses like a furry!'The carriage came to a sudden stop as I snapped out of my train of thoughts.
"We're here!" Madelyn exclaimed as she ran out the carriage with Jenna in pursuit. I walked out and peered at the giant mansion in front of us. It looked like something out of a victorian style novel or something like that. I turned around to look at the carriage, but it was gone. The mansion was on top of a hill that I didn't feel like running down in case if a murder happened.
"C'mon Zoey!" I heard Jenna shout from behind me. She and Madelyn were standing on the other side of the fountain watching me. I hummed and followed them to the mansion. Madelyn's and my heels clicked as we walked down the path while Jenna's boots squeaked. The gate behind us closed by itself as we walked further down the path."Well I'm shook!" Jenna exclaimed. Madelyn muttered a "Same", and inspected the gate.
Once we reached the door it swung open by itself. I thought it was kind of weird but didn't comment on it like I usually would. Inside there was a dude dressed like a butler. He had bright red eyes and black hair. He was wearing a nametag that said "Sebastian" on it.
"Think of whatever mask you'll like and it will appear," Sebastian said. I looked at Madelyn who shrugged in response. All three of us closed our eyes. When we opened them our faces had masks on them. Madelyn had on a black one with rhinestones and feathers, and Jenna's was shaped like a crow's face and also black. Mine was white and shaped like a cat. "You may now enter the party," Sebastian said. I swear his eyes turned fushia when we walked past him. There was already a couple people at the party. Two males with bright red hair, Madison, a male with blonde hair, and Autumn. Jenna ran up to Madison and Autumn -who instead of wearing a dress was wearing jeans and british band merch- while Madelyn went over to a snack table. I was about to walk over to Autumn when another male entered. His hair was dark blue and he was dressed oddly.
"I see all of my guests have arrived!" A feminine voice exclaimed. I turned around only to see somebody I never expected to be there.
