That Noise

" Where am I?" I look around but only see darkness. You a faint noise.(strange noise): always believe in yourself...never give up... " I know that! Wait? MOM!" You open your door and look out. You see a long hallway. You step out of the room and into the hall. "Mom....w..where are you?" You go down the hall hearing some noise coming from a room next to you. You step in seeing your little brother playing with LEGO's. "Oh my gosh! Johnny you scared me!" You said. "AHHHH!!" Johnny screamed. "You scared me!" He said as he ran up to hug you. "Good to see you too buddy" You said. "Hey do you know where Mom is?" You ask. "Umm...no." " Ok then, come on Johnny let's go." You both go back out and still hear the singing. You look for Johnny and he is right behind you. You look over the railing at the stairs and see at least 6 other floors. "Oh god" You say. "What know sis?" "Oh nothing. Come on let's go to another room." "Ok" Johnny says as he walks by your side. You get closer to the sound of the singing and go into a room. You see a CD player. Johnny runs up to it." No, Johnny don't touch it!" "Why not?"He asks." Sit on the floor or something." He plops on the floor. You put the only CD in an play it. You and Johnny watch it and see your mom in a familiar background. "Is that...home?" Johnny asks." I dont know it could just be the same wall paper." You answer him." Well let's go find her!" Johnny said "Johnny, we can't. At least not yet." I said sadly. Without knowing it a tear fell down my cheek. "Why are you crying?" Johnny asked. "No reason." I answer. "Please tell me! I'm your little brother and I can help you through it." Johnny says confidently. I look and smile. "I...I just don't want to lose you right now." I said while looking down. "Why would I leave?" Johnny asked. "You wouldn't understand but I will tell you," I said, "I just don't want to lose you like I lost...D...D..Danny." "It's ok we were all sad when Danny left but it was for the best." Johnny said. Danny was our neighbor and him and I were really close. He came over one day and said, "Guys I have to go. My dad got a new job so..." I could see the lie in his eyes " yea bye guys!" Before he left I grabbed his wrist. "Why are you actually leaving?" I ask staring into his eyes. "Fine. My mom died and my dad thinks that since she died she will haunt us so I brought her over here to haunt you." He said as he looked down. "Leave now and never come back!" I say as I point to the door. He leaves still looking down. I hear a faint voice, "Minnie!" That's when I snap back to reality and see Johnny hugging me tight. "What's wrong bud?" I asked. "The hall.." is all I hear him say. I walk towards the door and slightly open and gasp...
