it was all going so well, until...

the doorbell rang. i looked over at my friends, anna, kate and marie. "were we expcting anyone else?"

"obviously not," marie scoffed.

"well, go and answer it," kate said, as the bell rang one more time.

"i can't," i motioned towards my face. "i look like a freak with this facemask on."

"who cares? it's probably just the postman," anna said.

"at nine o'clock in the evening?" i questioned. the doorbell rang again. "okay, okay, fine. i'm coming!"

i stood and scampered to the door, wearing only my tracksuit bottoms and a vest top. as i opened the door, i was mortified to see scott brennan with a smirk on his stupid gorgeous face, with a bunch of his friends around him.

scott was my school's most loved, most popular guy and what the fuck was he doing at my house?

"heard there's a party," scott ran a hand through his sleek, dark hair. his eyes travelled down my body. "damn viola, you clearly went all out for this one." his voice was filled with sarcasm, and his friends laughed.

"there's no party," i tried to slam the door, but scott held it open.

"come on, viola. i can hear the music," one of scott's friends, andrew, said. "let us in."

i didn't have a choice, because the boys barrelled into my home. scott remained on the doorstep.

"uh, well, at least i was polite enough to wait for your permission, right?" he chuckled.

i shook my head and i ran after the boys into the living room, where my friends were looking around, confused.

"i don't recall inviting these jerks," marie stated as jerry spread out on one of the sofas.

"trust me, neither do i," i ran a hand through my curly hair.

that was when i felt a tap on my shoulder, and the school's most popular girl, cerys, was the one who had done it.

"you left your front door open," she informed me.

"cerys? what the hell are you doing here?"

"i'm here for the party," she rolled her eyes.

kaitlyn, her best friend, bounded over. "where should i put the drinks?" she asked, holding up a box of alcoholic beverages.

"oh my god," i groaned. there was no way people were drinking in my home. my parents would kill me if they got back tomorrow and found the house trashed.

"guys, there is no party!" i yelled, but the music was being turned up.

i began to panic, and quickly found my friends. "what do i do?"

kate shrugged. "this isn't what we were expecting, but lets just enjoy it."
