Day off work

Morning beautiful

The sun shone though the tiny crack where the curtain was partly open. It was shining right into Jakes eye and he opened it wearily and looked at the clock. It was 7:30am. He groaned and rolled over and looked over at the single bed next to him. In it was a sound asleep Keith. His hair in a fluffy mess and his mouth partly open. Jake smiled and got his phone and began to check his emails. He opened one from his boss wearily. As he read he smiled to himself. The office was having some work done and he and Keith had the day off. He went to close his eyes again when he heard a 'morning beautiful' he opened his eyes to a smiling tired looking Keith. 'Hello baby' Jake smiled. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He went over to give Keith a quick kiss and hug. Keith snuggled into his arms. 'Would you like some cocoa?' Jake asked as Keith clinged to his sleeve. Keith nodded and Jake stood up and opened the curtains. It was a glorious day. Keith stood up and walked over the the wardrobe ready to put on his work shirt. Jake smiled and took the shirt off him and put it back in the wardrobe. Keith looked puzzled. 'No work today baby' said Jake winking and Keith looked shocked and happy. They both walked to the kitchen and Jake made the cocoa and put it on the table near the couch. 'So what do you want to do today?' Jake asked stroking Keith's mop of stuck up hair. Keith shrugged and Jake laughed. 'I'll find something fun for us to do' he said quickly. He ran off into the kitchen and started putting pretzels and crisps into little plastic containers. Then 2 cans of Dr Pepper. Keith watched him as he packed the snacks up in his rucksack. 'Picnic?' Keith asked and Jake smiled. They put on their summer outfits and left the house.
