I hate this.

I hate everything.

I can't do anything but grieve.

I can't believe she's gone.

-

I tried to take in the view in front of me, but I couldn't. The city beneath me was shining beautifully against the moonlight. The city glinted with glee as the pedestrians below laughed and bickered in delight, completely unaware of the two people sitting on top of a building.

"Isn't it beautiful?" The girl beside me asked with excitement obvious on her voice, similar to a child. I turned towards her and was immediately set in a daze. The way the air ripples through her white shirt paired with a green jacket, the way her soft hazel eyes squint to see the view below more clearly, a hint of joy and mischief showing through them. Her cheeks puffy and flushed from the icy cold wind. It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy seeing her like this, I can't help but stare at her in awe.

"Yeah, she is." I mumbled the last part to myself, my gaze still on her. I guess she didn't hear me since she just looked straight ahead, oblivious to everything going on around her, including my feelings.

"What are you planning on doing after college?" She asked curiosly, not removing her gaze from the city. I didn't really know the answer to that question, I have nothing planned. We sat there comfortably in silence for a few minutes, leaving the question hanging in the air.

"I don't really plan on doing anything, everything is just so pointless to me." I said coldly, though I do find one thing important. I decided not to add that in. I turned towards her when I noticed it was taking her a lot of time to reply. The girl that was smiling a while ago now had a frown plasterd on her face, her eyes once filled with joy, is currently filled with sadness and worry.

"Hey." She spoke. "Give it some time, I'm sure you will find something or someone that will be worth living for by the end of graduation. I guarantee it!" She says enthusiastically, pumping her fists in the air, earning a giggle from me. She smiled at me reassuringly and gave me a thumbs up. I feel like I've already found someone worth living for, and that's her, Sam.

If only it ended like that.

We could have been happy.

But then again..

I'm happy it went like that.

Because,

I woudn't have met you.
