Boy: Luke
“Happy 17th birthday Kaitlyn” Luke said as he brushed a lock of my dirty blonde hair out of my blue eyes. I smiled “thanks Luke” I said as I kissed him softly on the lips, he kissed back smiling. I pulled back and laid my head on his shoulder as we sat in the sand watching the clear water lap up onto the beach as the sun began to set. I looked down and saw my once pale skin had turned a light shade of red. I shook my head at how easily I burned in the sun. “We better get going baby, the suns setting and we have to walk back to our place.” Luke said grabbing my hands and helping me up off the ground. The sun cast down onto Luke perfectly to where his hair turned what almost seemed like a gold color. I stepped back as he looked at me confused. I took my phone out of my back packet and quickly took a picture of him standing there. His hair the color of gold with a goofy smile on his face as he realized what I was doing. Once I got done taking the picture I took hold of his hand and we walked back to our small two bedroom house together. Up until a few months ago both Luke and I hadn’t realized how the other had felt. We’ve had a crush on each other since we met 4 years ago, but neither one of us said a thing because we were scared the other didn’t feel the same. So as soon as we realized how each other felt I moved in with him. We have separate bedrooms and everything, but it’s kind of a relief to be living on our own. As if we were a married couple. There haven’t been any fights since we got together, not even stupid petty ones. We were perfect together and no one was gonna stop us from being together. At night after the sun goes down and everything we’ll cuddle up on the couch in front of the fireplace. I’ll lay my head on his chest as he holds me close and I’ll read a book till I fall asleep to Luke softly humming to me. That’s the way we fall asleep almost every night. I don’t remember the last time I slept in my bedroom. But I don’t mind. I enjoy falling asleep on the couch with Luke.
