The girl who smiled

The rumors where killing her inside, but she always stood proud and with a huge smile on her face.I wonder what was her motive to stay so positive when everything was falling apart.Was it her confidence on her self?,or was it that she was lying to herself and telling her self everything is going to be ok.The next day I saw her crying in the hall ways,but she was running like if something was running after her.I wanted to say something to her to make her stop crying, but the words did not come out,all I could do was stare.Who knows maybe I could have save her life that day,maybe I could have save that smile of hers that was so beautiful that made a room shine with happiness.Until this day I don't know why she smiled everytime, like if nothing happened...pretending everything was ok.Since that day I never forgotten her simile, the way she used to ignore the bullies, well that was what i thought.Maybe she gave up on herself or maybe the harsh words got to her.I wish I could go back to time and talk to her and comfort her or maybe say "Hi" at least.I feel like a bitch for not saying anything to her and not being there for her when she need me the most.Sometimes I feel like she is behind me.I wish I could go back to time.
