Chapter 1

It was almost everyday that I was in my room talking to my pals on the Internet.

There's a lot of unexpected things you can find on the Internet. It wouldn't surprise me knowing that there's actually so many weird stuff on the Web. Hi my names Andre, I am a 17 year old boy, who's nerdy, not much of a talker, but definitely have support with me. That support being, my friends! Tiger, JoJo, Lucas, and Love. Yes, there's an actual person I met who's name is love, crazy stuff. Moving on, I haven't decided what I want to do in life, I'm so involved with talking to my internet buddies that I don't really have time to make ones in the real world.
I mean, cmon who would approach a guy like me? A nerd who basically has to wear glasses to see far, someone who just dresses casually not caring about my looks. That would be me. It's a bummer, but I handle with it. See, I have this thing where I have social paranoia where mostly everywhere I go it's a battlefield. It's something that I have to fight for everyday, of course I don't say I am a social paranoid person cause then.. that would be awkward. I'm glad I at least have my internet pals online that I trust hanging out with, everytime I leave school, which btw is hell, I always go home running opening up my laptop and talking to my buds. Sometimes, we do Voice calls, Video chats, play video games, or just simply text when one doesn't really wanna talk. It's a struggle because I've come attached so much to the online world, I sometimes.. get scared of what the real world gives to me. I haven't thought much of it but know that I'm about to be an adult soon, I need to invest more on the real world.

I walk down to the corner store near my house, buying snacks for my late night gaming session with my pals. I'd look over to the cashier, I suddenly get nervous. Yes, this is part of my daily life, something so simple as buying snacks gives me anxiety. God, Im such a loser. I walk down to the cashier buying my drinks and snacks. Suddenly, the guy speaks up, " 7 dollars please." I pay the guy the money I have in my pocket, I try not to make as much contact to calm down my nerves. "Here you go sir! Have a nice day" I nod my head in acknowledgement , I walk out of the store accidentally bumping into someone. I speak up, "Shoot! I'm so so sorry, crap Are you ok!?" I look at the guy standing up , dusting off the dirt on his clothes, he then looks at me in shock. "Oh my god! Andre?! Is that really you!" My eyes widen recognizing his face and the voice. " Holy crap! Tiger!? Dude how did you drive up here? Or take an airplane over here?! Dude I'm so happy meeting you" I smile at the excitement of finally meeting my friend at such an unexpected time. Tiger speaks up, "C'mere buddy!" Tiger hugs me so tight, that I almost gasp for air. But, I didn't care at the time, I was finally meeting my best bud! I look up at tigers eyes, " Hey!, so I was gonna plan staying up all night and eating snacks while getting my mind off the real world." I chuckle to myself at sounding how much of an idiot I probably sound like. "So, I was thinking would you want to join me?" I smile kindly at tiger from my request. Tiger then speaks up, "Sure bud, you know I'll do anything if it means spending time with my best friend. Though You have been mentioning you're gaming sessions, I do get a little worried about your health." Tiger glares at me with concern in his eyes. I speak up, " C'mon it'll be just this one night I promise." Tiger then giggles to what I said, " Sure Andre, let's do it."

Maybe, the real world isn't so bad after all.
