It wasn't till my freshman year of highschool when I realized him. It's looks, his mind, it's smile. I joined the volleyball team, I was one of the starting six.
It wasn't till I saw him playing around with a volleyball, I was drawn in. At first I didn't look at his face, just his voice. Raspy yet gentle, I thought to myself.
"Hera! Hurry up, or you're running extra laps!" My coach's voice boomed through the gymnasium.
"coming!"
My feet rushed over to the rest of the team with my volleyball bag wrapped tight around my fingers. However, something told me to look back, and when I did.. Oh boy how I wished I didn't. It was when his smile reached up and his eyes closed shut.
Lucas.. He was my brothers friend. And it was wrong. I knew it would never work out. Yet here I am.
I huffed out a breath and walked away. You've fallen Hera. I shut my eyes and snaked my head. In that moment I thought it was nothing but a simple high school crush. Keep to my self and I'd be fine.
Oh how stupid of me. Oh how very stupid of me..
