"Ladies, it's time," the director said and I looked at my aunt. I couldn't just let her cry right now. I need to comfort her.

"Could you give us a moment?" I asked and the director just nodded and walked out. "Auntie, you don't need to cry for me. This was bound to happen some day."

"I know that. I'm just thinking about my brother," she said and I worked hard to keep the tears from falling. "I'm just thinking about how happy he would be to walk his little girl down the aisle and give her away. He would have loved to be in my spot right now but he can't..." At that point, the tears fell but I didn't wipe them away.

"I know and I would have loved to have him here but he isn't, Auntie. There's nothing you could have done for him to be here today. Things happen for a reason and the accident did," I said and held her tightly. "We can't keep dwelling on the fact that him and my mom can't be here today. They are here, in our hearts and looking down on us from heaven. They would be proud of all of us and I know that my dad is so proud of how great you have taken care of us all. You are so strong, Auntie and I couldn't have asked for such a great aunt. I love you, don't forget that."

"I won't," she said and we wiped under each others eyes. "I love you and your brothers so much, like you are my own. Now, let's get this thing over with. I bet your handsome husband-to-be is getting nervous that you are a no show." We laughed and walked hand in hand to the doors. I was supposed to signal for the doors to be open but right now, I just can't. I walked to the side and looked up at the ceiling.

"Mom, Dad, I wish you could be here today. I wish you could walk me down the aisle and smile at me, telling me you love me. But I know you can't and I understand. I just want to say thank you for being such great parents and that even though you aren't here in real life, I know you are in spirit. So thank you for looking out for me. I love you so, so much," I said and took a deep breath. In my ear I thought I heard them both say, "We love you, too." but I wasn't sure. Probably just my imagination. Taking another deep breath, I walked back to the girls, grabbed my bouquet and nodded for the doors to be opened and the music to start. I smiled as I saw Max again. He was looking at me like he was seeing me for the first time and I couldn't help but giggle a bit as Jake nudged him in the back. Leave it to my brother to embarrass my mate.

"And who gives this young lady away?" the priest said.

"I do," my aunt said and put my right hand in Max's left. I stepped up next to Max and couldn't stop my heart from fluttering like it always does when I'm so close to him.

"You look absolutely stunning," Max whispered in my ear and I looked at him.

"And you look absolutely handsome. A tux suits you," I said and we faced each other.

"Ladies and gentleman, we are gathered here today to join these two in holy matrimony," the priest said. I zoned him out for a bit and just stared into Max's eyes, smiling brightly at him. "Therefore if any man can show any just cause, why they may not lawfully be joined together, let him now speak, or else hereafter for ever hold his peace." Me and Max looked around as did everyone else and when no one said anything, we both smiled brightly at each other. As the priest was about to speak again, the church doors burst open and a familiar scream was heard. I looked at Max who was looking down the aisle at a familiar man and woman then we realized, it was the people who adopted Faith! I burst out running down the aisle with Max following.

"What are you doing here?" I asked and Faith instantly stopped crying and looked up at me.

"We-we can't handle her! All she does is scream all day long. I haven't had a good nights sleep in over a month," the lady said while crying. "She hardly eats and she sleeps only a few hours a day. I don't know what to do! I can't calm her down and neither can Joe." I looked at her like 'Who?' and she pointed to her husband. "Ever since you two showed up and left, she won't stop screaming and crying."

"We haven't been to work in a month and we have been to many doctors who say she's just a fussy baby but we know better," Joe said and hugged his wife. "We adopted her to give her a great home and we thought we could but we now know that her home is with you two. We can't keep going on like this knowing that she isn't happy with us and also knowing how unhappy you two were. Seeing how much you loved this little girl was so amazing and seeing her cry her heart out when you left, it broke my heart but I wanted this baby girl because we can't have kids but we know what it's like to lose something you love so, we want you guys to be Faih's legal guardians. Not us." I just stood there speechless. I looked at Max who looked the same then at my baby girl who was squirming to get to us. I picked her up and held her close to me. She smiled brightly and I couldn't help but smile back with tears in my eyes. My baby girl is back!

"I don't know how we can repay you," Max said. "Please stay for the wedding and reception. We would love to have you here."

"Well, we couldn't," the lady said and Joe just rolled his eyes and extended his hand out to Max.

"We would love to stay and celebrate with you," Joe said and they took a seat next to my aunt. I gave my aunt Faith who instantly liked her and pulled her hair, making me laugh as I walked back up to the altar with the brightest smile on my face. I knew today was going to be a great day. As the priest went through all that  wedding stuff, I was so happy that I practically yelled "I do!" and made everyone laugh.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the priest said and before he could say the last few words, me and Max crashed our lips on each others. The priest just laughed and before me and Max could get into a heated kiss, he pulled us apart and pushed us down the aisle. I grabbed my baby girl and the three of us walked down the aisle, as happy as can be. Right now, nothing could make this day terrible because I was so happy and I know that my family was also. Looking up at the sky, I smiled, knowing that my parents were proud of me.
