I was never one to fit in. I kept to myself. Too much attention would make me sick. But being part of a royal family, attention is something you can't avoid. My name is Luna Darehart. Most commonly known throughout the kingdom as Princess Luna. The city my Castle and home sits in is Emerald City, named after the first invention ever created in our kingdom. The Emerald lights. Using Emerald energy to produce lights. My grandmother created those lights BEFORE she was a royal. But even after she became a royal she was the number one reason we were well known royals. The second reason was well...my family...we're very attractive. All of us blemish free. Our skin glowing. My Mother and Father, King Turen and Queen Nexus, were the most beautiful. My Mother was born with stunning red hair, while my Father was born with brown hair. Both of them had fair skin. My Mother's eyes were an intoxicating brown color, while my Father had hypnotic grey ones. After there arranged marriage (more on that later) they were gifted with their first born, me. I was a perplexity to them and the entire kingdom. Instead of being born with Brown or Red hair I was born with deep Black hair. My eyes a Emerald color with a Hazel ring around the Emerald. My Brother was born two years later. And again I came into view. My Brother looked more like my parents than I did...and I was definitely their kid. My Brother had Brown curls, grey eyes, and fair skin just like the rest of us. With all of them looking like they were actually related, it left me feeling more left out.
