1. I tried to find my love.
I thought it wouldn't be that hard.
I started to look around
What a funny crowd

2. I looked at other people around me.
And they just looked so happy.
Finding the love of your life.
That couldn't be that hard. Right?

3. Clubbing in clubs.
Homepartys by friends.
People I don't know I started to get
to know.

4. And then there was this boy.
He came around.
And damn it wow.
We started to dance, we started to
laugh.
It seemed like he could be my love.

5. Flirting, Dating all the things
And just some more little drinks.
Just some strangers in the dark.
Hoping for kindness
Hoping for love

6. But at the end
   It tears apart.
Things ended.
   Friendships ended.
It was just a joke.
   Man you're funny though.
   It seemed like
   I recognized that that
   couldn't be that right.
   Finding the love of your life
   Not what I thought it would be
   like.

7. I tried to change
I tried to fit in.
   But I should be me
   Not fake at all
   Starting to feel hate
   And wanting to change
   For just some love
   That I once saw.

8. It started with a stranger for one
   night.
That's not what I'm like.
   The love of your life will come to
   you at the right time.
   Just repeat that in your mind
   And it will become life.
