Amelia

Age: 27

Love Interest: Lucky

Born in the Hato System to a rock star and a photographer, Amelia was determined to follow in the footsteps of one of her parents. When she was sixteen, she was signed to the same record label her father was signed to. It was about three years into her career that she fell in love with a man by the name of Kiyoshi, the bass player for Skyburst, an experimental pop band that had been signed about a year after she had. He had a secret though: He'd been part of Jark Matter his entire life.

Kiyoshi and Amelia dated for about a year before he started getting abusive, threatening to spread all sorts of rumors about her if she left him. It took her four years, along with some help from Mariko and the members of Starline, a boyband from another planet in the Hato System that had been signed shortly before everything went down, but she finally left him for good. (He made good on his threat to spread a bunch of nasty rumors about her, but her fans knew better.)

She received the Hato Kyutama when Jark Matter came after her during the first concert she had after she left him, protecting her manager from a bunch of Indavers. She was recruited into the Rebellion shortly thereafter and spent the first six months to a year traveling the universe gathering the Skill Kyutamas.

Mariko

Age: 21

Love Interest: Stinger

Twenty-one-year-old Mariko is the younger sister of Kiyoshi, Amelia's ex-boyfriend. She was born into Jark Matter just like her brother, and was off at a JM boarding school in the Vulpecula system when he proved his loyalty by killing their parents. He lied to her when she discovered what happened, saying that a group of thugs had broken into their house. Once she graduated, she moved back home with her brother, studying to be a Malistrate's assistant while Kiyoshi's music career took off as did his relationship with Amelia.

When Mariko noticed how her brother's relationship with Amelia was going, she felt terrible for the other girl and secretly tried to get her to leave him, with the help of the members of Starline, a boyband signed to Amelia's record label. It took a few tries but Amelia finally left him for good, much to Mariko's relief.

Four and a half years later, Mariko discovered the truth about the deaths of her and Kiyoshi's parents; that her brother had been behind it the entire time. Fed up with the lies, she broke into his office and stole information on Jark Matter bases in the Equuleus, Ara, and Tucana systems.

Then she disappeared, secretly joining the Rebellion and going undercover.

Vivian

Age: 24 (physically), 357 (chronologically)

Love Interest: Tsurugi

Vivian was born over three hundred years ago on a small island chain on the planet Zhesone in the Iruka System, the daughter of a doctor and a bookstore owner. When she was ten, Jark Matter took over Zhesone, and she and her parents escaped to the Hato System, settling on Anaiva where she helped her mother at her bookstore, up until Jark Matter took over when she was fourteen. Her parents died in the ensuing ambush, and she was taken in by her father's best friend and his wife.

Vivian ended up taking over her foster father's bar when she was nineteen, after his wife died and he retired. She ran it for five years until she met Tsurugi Ohtori, a man from Earth who was recruiting warriors from each of the constellation systems to help take Jark Matter down. He was impressed with how she'd taken down a group of Indavers with nothing but a mop and approached her about it. After a night of drinks and discussion, Vivian agreed to go with him, giving the bar to her friend and coworker Esmeralda.

As the battles went on, Tsurugi and Vivian eventually fell in love, which resulted in them getting married in a double ceremony with Orion and his wife less than a year before the battle against Don Armage that got them both put in stasis on the Argo.

BTS as Starline

Starline is a group of seven boys from Sarisia, another planet in the Hato System, who moved to Anaiva and was signed to the same record label as Amelia about five months before things started going downhill with her and Kiyoshi. Amelia had befriended them soon after they arrived, and she credits them with helping her finally gain the courage to leave Kiyoshi for good. Once she got her kyutama, however, they went into hiding in the Yamaneko system, in case Jark Matter decided to try to use them to draw Amelia and the other Kyurangers out.
