Jess and I went straight into the kitchen.
"Stacy, I need a double thick ASAP!"
"Ok ok" I said with a smile on my face. Double thick's have always been our thing. We've had these delicious chocolate shakes since we were kids.we've been friends since we were six, I first met Jess in grade one. We were both new at St James School for girls, my teacher Mr look always put us to together - yip the two shy girls destined to be friends ;) Ever since we've been inseparable!
I handed jess her milkshake and sprinkled some mini marshmallows on top.
My phone beeped :
Connor - Hey
Me - Hey
Connor - Randy and I were wondering do you and Jess wanna come down a few days early? ;)
Me - umm Ok let me just check just with Jess, where is Randy's beach house again?
Connor - kk, it's in PE - better book your flight tickets ;)
I was about to text back but my mom burst through the door carrying a least a dozen shopping bags.
"Hey honey how was your day?" She asked with lot of interest
"It was good" I replied flatly,
Jess and I had to come up with the perfect excuse so that my mom would let us go to Randy's house for the week.
"Ugggggggg why do I have such a helicopter mom" I whispered to jess under my breath
"sorry can't relate" she giggled back
we looked at each other and burst out laughing
"mom we're going up stairs"
" ok honey let me know if you need anything"
We dashed upstairs, to escape!
