Yuuki Pov (Pic of Her on Top ^)
Ring, ring, ring, rin-
Enough of this, I lifted my arm and banged it against the clock ending the noise. I looked at the time and was, immediately, regretting it. 6:30 a.m., it is too early for school. I should skip and call in sick and then-. My thoughts were interrupted by my phone's ringtone, Best Friend by Toy-Box, informing me that my best friend is calling. God, why did I let him choose his ringtone and why do I leave like this. I went and picked up the phone.

"Hey, why th-" I started to say but was interrupted by a loud screech.
"Hellllooooo, bestie, how are you this fine morning? Did you eat breakfast yet? Are you dressed yet? Did you even get out of bed yet? Huh? Are you going to answer my question or are you just going to be silent and do nothing?" stated my best friend Sora Ito. Sora Ito, he has been my best friend since forever. We have been through thick and thin and we enjoyed every minute of it because we had each other. To be honest he is my entire world, I can't live without him.

"Hey, if you shut your yap for once I could answer your questions," I groaned into the phone, "I just woke up, so what is so important that you had to wake me up at this time when I was about to snooze once again."

"It's just my friendly way of telling that you are going to school even if I have to drag you myself," Sora said cheerfully making me wonder what was in his coffee. "Now get up, we have school to go to. Remember we only have one more day left and then summer vacation." Yeah, only one more day, I just want the school year to be over, I'm done with its torture.

"Hey, don't forget that my mom is picking you up this morning so get ready she doesn't want us to be late this time." And at that note he ended the call. I heaved the covers off of me feeling the chilled air in my room. My instinct was to pull the covers back on me bringing me back to my home of warmth, but I decided against it. I swaged my feet to the side of my bed and hopped to the floor.

What to wear, what to wear. I gazed through my closet searching for a comfortable clothing to wear. I finally decided to wear a  light blue tank top paired with some jean shorts that met my thigh,  also wearing my white sneakers and to wrap it all together I wore my 'Sora' necklace. We have each other's names on necklaces and we where everyday. It is just another way of showing off our friendship.

After getting dress I went down stairs and stared at the emptiness. Once again they are not here. My parents are never here. It is as if they just moved out and left me aside. I know it's stupid, but somedays I wish that I would come downstairs or into their bedroom and see them there standing in front of me, loving me. But that's all but a dream.

The last time I have seen my parents was when I was 9 years old on my birthday. They said they were going to pick up my birthday present and come right back. It was until the morning I woke up I realize they weren't there. After a few weeks of crying my eyes out, blaming myself of their disappearance, and denying the truth that they didn't leave me, I decided to finally tell Sora what was happening. He wanted me to tell his parents and move in with them, but being the naive little girl I was, I said that I know that they were coming back to me and I will wait for them. I also didn't want to be a burden to his family.

I quickly shock the memories of the past and continued my morning routine. As I moved to the cabinet and reached for the cereal, I hear a distinct beeping being alarmed outside. I guess it's time to go. I glanced at the apple in bowl on the counter. This will do. I grab the apple and my backpack filled with all my school supplies and went to the front door. I opened the door, went outside, and turned around to lock it. I twirled around to see the sight of my best friend waving at me to hurry up. I ran to the car, making sure I don't trip on the cracks engraved on the concrete.

"Hello, Ms. Yuuki Sato, how are you today, sweetie?" Mrs. Ito asked. Mrs. Ito is probably the sweetest person you will ever meet. If she say a injured wild animal in front of her , I bet you that she would pick it up and treat it as if it was her own child. She was my mother figure when my parents left me.

"I have been well Mrs. Ito, thank you again for taking me to school all this time while my parents are busy with their work," I said smiling. I feel bad for lying to Sora's family because they treat as if I was their own daughter, but I don't want them to worry about me. Mrs. Ito looked into the back mirror and smiled at me with her kind eyes. I felt the guilt build in me but I try to disperse that feeling into the depths of my body. In a few seconds we ended up at school, Mrs. Ito opened the automatic door and sent us off to school and drove off.

"You ready?" Sora asked me showing off his 1 million dollar smile.

"Yeah I am ready," I answered.

Hello, this is my first time writing a Haikyuu fanfic, so it might be roughed around the edges, but I hope you enjoyed it.
