So I realized I was pansexual in seventh grade. I dated a close friend of mine and it was great. We did break up but we are still good friends. When we were dating my parents had no clue. I was a little scared to tell them even though constantly they told my brother and I, "Date who you want, no matter the gender, we don't care if your gay, as long as your happy we are happy."
My parents found out at different times
My mom found out first.
It was during this event for school where we had presentations after school for math class. My teacher decided to tell my mom my grades were dropping and she thought it was because I had a girlfriend. (No it was not that teacher sucked ass) this was probably a moth after she and I broke up. My mom then questioned me in the car half an hour later and told me she will support my decision.
My dad found out probably a month after that when we came back from a trip to see my cousins. I was wearing a shirt that said I can't think straight in a rainbow heart. He looked at me laughed and said is there something you want to tell me. I knew he was supportive of my choice as well.
I may not like the exact way I came out, but now I have a fun story to tell.
I hope this encourages some of you to come out or to accept your friends or family who are not straight.
Wether your straight, gay, lesbian, pan, bi, or asexual (and any other sexuality I left out) just know there is an entire website that supports you!
