"Chloe's Mom called!!!" My Mom called as I was getting ready. I wondered what she was calling for so early in the morning, so I asked, "About what? Everything okay?" I say slowly... "I don't know... she wants me to take Chloe to school today." I was in shock. Her Mom is usually so overprotective with that kind of stuff.
Chloe comes in the car. She doesn't say a word but looks at us for a moment then looks down at her legs. I give my Mom a knowing look and I break the silence by asking, "Is everything okay?" She starts bawling. Hard. I'm looking for words to comfort her but I have no idea what's going on... she then says with a shaky voice, "My.... My Brother...." She sniffs. "He was murdered last night...."
