God, you seem so far away.
Farther than my eyes can see and my heart can feel.
But God, I know you surround me
And I know you love me even when I don't feel it.
God, my enemies are numerous,
My enemies are more than mere men.
Oh God, how I have sinned against you!
Trusting men for my rescue instead of you!
God, you said you would never leave me!
God, prove to my enemies that you're there!
Bring swift judgment to those against me!
Remind my enemies of your righteous fury!
Foolish I was; humble I approach you
Let your justice be swift and mercy follow!
God, all that I am belongs to you
Leave no stone unturned in purifying me
God, teach me to listen to your words
To show me that you're by my side
I'll never be alone so long as you're with me
