Strange Occurrences (SN 1D FF)

Chapter 6

Vanessa was back to normal, somewhat. Life was going at a normal pace for the graduates. Vanessa was accepted to a college.  Trinity University.  In San Antonio Texas. She went there in the fall. Alyssa and Niall were acting like they didn't like each other (they were extremely terrible at it) Basically all the girls were starting to like the guys. Vanessa could feel the love in the air as she landed and took off again for the fifth time that morning. She was training. If asked, she wouldn't know. She just went with the flow. Finally she landed for the last time, pads scraped from landing so many times. Vanessa folded her wings onto her back, flopping on a rock off to the side. The sun warmed her scales, which slowly changed patterns. Her eyes closed, then snapped open again when she heard a twig snap. Her head shot up. It was just Louis. He raised his hands up, speaking

"Sorry! Didn't mean to startle you" Vanessa transformed and said

"It's alright Lou."

"Oh so it's not Stripes now"

"No you are still Stripes. Just got tired of calling you that." Vanessa got up.

"Is there something you want?"

"Um... I was wondering if you wanted to go out to eat with the boys and your friends tonight. "

"Sure!" Vanessa flapped up into the air.

"See you tonight!"

That Night

Vanessa, Alyssa, Melanie,  and the rest of the gang were decked out in their dresses and other fab things. Vanessa was complaining as they walked out,

"I'm gonna trip and break my neck in these!" Her wings flapped, helping her keep her balance. The group walked down the street, chatting as they entered the restaurant.

After a fabulous dinner, everyone went home. Louis and Vanessa walked to her house, talking about life. As they got there, they each told each other goodbye before he hugged her. Her face went red. Her mind drew a blank.

"Night Vanessa! " Louis said as he walked back towards the airport. Vanessa walked inside and to her room, where she leaped onto the bed and squealed into her pillow
