A Beautiful Mess (Bonner Bolton Fanfic)

Introduction

It's just another day at work, but unlike any other day Megan is scheduled to interview the hottie, and office favorite, from the last season of ABC's favorite reality competition show. Everyone in the office was falling for him and Megan was no exception. Unlike everyone else Megan could relate to the guy, Blue, a cowboy who had surfed and overcome a paralyzing injury less than eighteen months prior. Megan suffered the same injury six and a half years prior and it was only in the past six months that she had regained her mobility. This was the reason Megan was chosen to interview Blue, that and, like Blue, Megan was from the south.

Megan is nervous about interviewing Blue but she pushed her feelings aside, turning The Shack soundtrack on loop and tiding up her office. There wasn't much to clean up but she had plenty to set up. Megan never did interviews at her desk, she felt like they were to formal. Instead she set up refreshments on her desk and did interviews at a small table by the window. Megan had just finished setting up when Amber, her best friend, came in and said, "Blue is here." 

"I'll be with him in a few minutes." Megan replied, turning her desk and getting her digital recorder. She placed it on the table and turned it on before taking her iPad off her desk and reviewing her questions for Blue. Once she had reviewed them, she places her iPad beside her digital recorder and turned walked to the door. She stopped before leaving, turning around in the middle of the doorway, and looked over her office before walking out to the lobby to get Blue. 

"Hi, my name is Megan, I'll be interviewing you today." Megan says, extended her hand, as she reached Blue. Blue shook her hand and said, "Nice to meet you Miss Megan. I'm Blue, but you already know that." Blue says, blushed at his awkward statement and realizes he's still shaking Megan's hand. He immediately drops her hand and apologizes for being awkward. Megan laughs it off and takes him back to her office, smiling as she does.
