Ellen's POV

I pulled my car into the driveway, the clock reads 1:30 AM. Yay, I'm home early. I think to myself. This time of year the show gets crazy. I hate it, I never have time for anything but work and sleep. Not the things that are important, my animals, my brother or my mama and most importantly Portia. My perfect baby girl, the love of my life, my everything.

The  house is quite as I get ready to sleep. No dogs run at me, no beautiful Aussie wraps her hands around my waist. I'm brushing my teeth when I get a look at my reflection. I look exhausted. More so than I feel, thank God for my makeup team on the show.

The bedroom is quieter still. My wife lays asleep on our bed. She looks so peaceful. I take my phone out and snap a picture. After setting it to my background, I climb in to bed, wrap my arms around her and let myself drift into unconsciousness.

Portia POV

Ellen's gone in the morning. She always is. I miss her so much. It hurts mor and more everyday, being away from her. But I'm also glad she's not here. I'd have to eat if she were here. I'd have to put fatty foods in my throat and pretend to enjoy it. I'd have to wear long sleeves to cover the thin parallel scars that litter my wrist. I'd have to turn the shower water temperature down. I'd have to pretend I'm not a stupid, worthless piece of shit. A freak. Good for nothing.

Fatty.

Dyke.

Bitch.

Unlovable.

I'd have to be Portia De Rossi.
