"Wilo," I mumbled as I slam my hand on the alarm clock. He just groans. "Wilo," I mumble a little louder but this time, no reply. I slowly sit up in the bed and lean over Wilo so I can see his face. I shake him a little. "Get up or we're going to be late." He rolls over and opens up his eyes, looking at me. His hair is messy but his eyes are bright.

"For what?" he asks. "The party's not until ten."

"So," I say getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

"So," he says, dragging the word out. "That means I can sleep in a couple extra hours."

"No, because I need to go shopping for some clothes, and shoes and what not," I say, as I brush my teeth. It came out as more of gurgling noises and he just shook his head.

"I have no idea what you just said but whatever. Wake me up when you're done with your shower." At that, he drops his head down on the pillow and immediately falls asleep.

You see, the great thing about living up here is that shopping isn't really shopping. You see, when you shop, you have to pay, but here, you just pick what you want and the people throw it in a bag for you. Easy, peasy, lemon, squeazy. I walk downstairs in my short, jean skirt and my black, slimming shirt. Wilo has on jean pants and a black and white striped button up shirt that's open, revealing a white t-shirt.

"I like your hair curly. It's nice," he compliments me as we get into the cart.

"And I like your hair spiky. It looks... wreckless," I tell him as I giggle.

"So what's so big about this party anyways?" he asks.

"Well if you haven't noticed, we're kind of loners," I tell him, since the only people that we ever hang out with are each other.

"I'm insulted," he says, putting his hand to his heart jokingly and I laugh.

"I'm being serious though. We need friends!"

"All I need is you, and I'm set," he tells me and kisses me on the cheek as a blush.

"Too kind, too kind," I say and he shrugs.

"It comes naturally," he says, as he brushes off fake dust on his shoulder, smirking.

"You're so full of yourself," I tell him and we both laugh.

We were all laughing after Lyle's story. Him and his girlfriend Rita were very close with us now and we were beginning to chat with their friends.

"So, what happened to you guys?" Wilo asked them and they both looked each other happily, as if death was the best thing that ever happened to them.

"Car accident," Rita says. "We were on our way to our honeymoon when a giant freakin' truck came and just t- boned us." How wonderful. They loved each other in life, and ended up together after too. They both married out of high school, and you could tell by the way they looked at each other, that they were passionate about each other. It made me smile. Lyle kissed Rita on the lips and Rita's glass in her hand tilted a little, splashing some champagne on the floor. She laughed and took a sip of what was left in the glass.

"Bye guys!" we called to them, getting in the cart and heading home. It was about three in the morning and we were both exhausted.

I wake up to the noise of people talking downstairs. It is Wilo, Wila, Alec, and some girl whose voice I don't recognize. I pull on some shorts and a tank top and walk downstairs. When I get down, Wilo won't look at me staright in the eye and it seems like something is wrong, but I don't know for sure.

"Benna, this is Lanna. Lanna, Benna," Wilo introduces us. Her name seems so familiar but I can't remember from where.

"Hi," she says cheerfully.

"Hi," I reply a little less cheerfully but am still smiling.

"Wilo, I need your help with food for tonight," Alec tells him, grabbing his keys and walking out the door.

"But," Wilo replies, but gets the I'm- not- taking- no- for- an- answer look from Alec. Wilo follows him and Wila says that she's going to her house to grab some things.

"So, what happened?" I ask her as I shovel some eggs into my mouth.

"I commit suicide, I guess," she says shrugging, since she doesn't remember a thing, just like I didn't.

"That sucks," I tell her. "Do you know why you did it?" I ask her as I gulp down some orange juice.

"I was madly in love with Wilo," she begins as I choke on my orange juice hearing this, although she didn't notice. As I recover myself she continues, "I guess after he got shot in the gang, I was never the same again. It's a shame really, but I loved him, and I still do!"

I was sort of just staring at my plate, taking all of this information when it hit me of what she said. Gang? "Gang?" I ask her, because that was not the story he told me.

"Yeah, I'm surprised he didn't tell you guys," she says and shrugs. "He was in some gang in the city and there was a drive by. The funeral was terrible, it was all about city safety and to not get into gangs. It was real shit."

"Hmmm," I grroan and have suddenly lost my appetite. "So... what your saying is," I pause, and then continue, "you killed yourself to be with Wilo?"

"Of course!" she says, as if she was saying, "why wouldn't I?" I chuckle to myself and set my fork on the plate before I leave to walk upstairs.

"Excuse me," I tell her and she just nods.

"This food is delicious," Alec compliments Wila as Lanna continues to smile as she watches Wilo from across the table.

"Why thanks," Wila says, smiling. "Aren't you hungry, Benna?"

"I had a lot at the party last night?" I tell her as I lean back in my chair, arms folded.

"Are you feeling all right?" Wila asks, with a concerned look on her face.

"Peachy," I tell her, with a fake smile on my face. I stare at Lanna and when she finally notices sh takes her eyes off Wilo and looks at the food on her plate that she's barely touched. I just roll my eyes. When I look at Alec, he's glaring at me. Oh dear graciousness, now I've pissed him off. "What?" I snap in a whisper. He just widens his eyes more as in to say, "Be more polite or I'll shove that food down your throat so fast you won't know it until it's digested." "Excuse me," I say getting up from the table and leaving the house. I'm at the pier in the dark when someone comes up from behind me. I can tell it's Wilo because of how he's breathing.

"What's wrong?" he asks, as I look out over the water that moon is shining off of.

"Nothingg," I say with a scratchy voice, and I cough, hoping to come out a little clearer next time I open my mouth.

"That wasn't very convincing," he replies wrapping his arms around my waist and putting his chin on my shoulder.

"Nothing is wrong, okay?" I yell, as I whip around and out of his grip. "I just... I need time to think," I say a little quieter this time and I turn around as I begin to walk faster and faster and then into a jog and into a run.

"About what Benna?" he calls to me. "Huh? You can't just run away from this! Benna!"
