Chamomile is a type of daisy-like flower that is commonly used to make infusions due to its medicinal uses. Two species of this type of flower are commonly used:
* German Chamomile: More often than not used to make chamomile loose leaf teas and different infusions.
* Garden/English chamomile: This type of chamomile is used in gardens, more for decoration
And so many more different types are used. As mentioned above, chamomile is used in teas and infusions for medicinal purposes. Some things chamomile is useful for includes: treating indigestion, relaxing and calming nerves, irritability in children, and used to treat swelling in the eyes. Chamomile is often used as an herbal tea to treat a sore throat, with honey mixed in it.
For those women that are pregnant, one thing many doctors recommend is to NOT consume ANY Roman Chamomile, for it often causes miscarriages.
