He was really worried that his bandmates would see him crying in his bedroom that night. Nevertheless, he couldn't help but think it was the start of something new that could potentially change his life in ways he never imagined. He was thinking that the next day could be the most important meeting he's had since he auditioned to enter WM Entertainment. Kim Hyojin was the leader of the ON sub-unit of his band ON/OFF. ON/OFF was a band composed of 7 members and sometimes divided into 2 sub-units: ON and OFF. Hyojin was the leader of ON and his best friend J-Us was the leader of OFF. Hyojin was a really good leader, but thought he lacked leadership because he wasn't very talkative. He worked really hard every day to improve his communication skills and chose to lead by example in the meantime. Nevertheless, every single member in the group respected him, after all, even if he looked like he was a cute, little, defenseless, bunny, he was the hyung. His group had debuted some time ago but they didn't get the desired fame so instead the company decided to audition them for the new YG survival show, Mixnine. This show was supposed to give the companies a chance to debut nine members in a band for approximately 3 months. Enough time for them to get the necessary promotion for their respective bands under one of the industry's top 3 companies, YG Entertainment. Clearly an opportunity no one wanted to miss. Hyojin was obviously nervous, but he didn't want to show the members his vulnerable side; since he wished to set an example and they all looked up to him so much. Being a leader is not an easy task, but Hyojin had always managed to push through and deliver. But this time was a bit different. Lee Seung Jun or J-Us, as his stage name stated, noticed Hyojin was acting a little bit strange. He even missed dinner that night. He thought Hyojin was having stomach problems or something, since he had a history of gastrointestinal issues. He decided to go check on him and found him in the room, laying in bed on the verge of crying.

"Everything okay?" J US said while sitting on the edge of Hyojin's bed.

"Yeah, I didn't know you were still up. Is everyone doing okay?" Hyojin responded in a low tone.

"Mmm" J-Us nodded in agreement. "I'm just a little worried about you. You need to calm down; it's not the end of ONF or anything, you know?" J-Us giggled. "Just think of it as another audition, it'll be fine; plus, you've never gotten like this for anything. Just go back to being the cool leader: Kim Hyojin." J-Us laughed while saying this and even managed to make Hyojin laugh a little. "He's always been a good friend." Hyojin thought while smiling.

"I don't want to be like this, but it's scary, you know? Having to be in front of YG himself and-" he paused for a second to catch his breath. He felt that he could cry any second now. "I don't want to disappoint the boys or the company, I know how much this means to them. Actually to everyone, to me too." He finally released a tear.

"You're not disappointing anyone, Hyojin, even if we don't make it, we'll keep doing our music and no one can do anything about that. We're already part of something, we have a group and a company that supports us. There's nothing to be worried about. If we get to be in this, it will only be a good experience for us and really good exposure so that more fans can get to know us. Nothing else." J- Us replied reassuring him and softly caressing his hair.
