Through contemplation of those
goodly sights,
What wontless fury dost thou
now inspire,
Thou in me kindlest much more
great desire,
Whose wondrous beauty,
breathing sweet delights. To contemplation of th'
immortal sky,
That flags awhile her fluttering
wings beneath,
Till she herself for stronger
flight can breathe,
Of the soare falcon so I learn
to fly.
The eternal fountain of that
heavenly beauty,
And learn to love, with zealous
humble duty,
But kept cold distance, and did
thence remove,
To spend her living in eternal love.
