Tony Stark walked into the Avengers Tower's living room with two coffees and a can of coke tucked underneath his arm. He smiled at the two heroes in the room and offered them their drinks. He put down one coffee on the table in the middle of the cluster of couches and handed the other to the bearded man sitting on the shortest couch.

His clothes were ruffled and wrinkled, but the dark blue colour of the loose pants suited the bright red cape that was draped over the back of the couch and attached to his shoulders. He nodded a thank you, a watch on his wrist as usual, and took the cup from Tony.

Tony smiled and threw the coke to the young boy dressed in red pajamas that sat on the longest couch. He caught it without looking away from the TV.

Mr. Stark smirked and sat down beside Dr. Strange. Tony fell into the soft couch with a sigh as Stephen lifted his arm and placed it around Tony's shoulders, his eyes turned towards the TV.

With a glance at Peter, Tony tucked himself into Stephen's embrace and turned his attention to the news as well.

"Are they complaining about heroes again?" Tony asked as the five people talked around a table.

Peter nodded, enraptured.

Stephen didn't say anything and just shrugged. He took a sip from his coffee as the cloak around his shoulders crept up from the back of the couch and surrounded Tony's shoulders as well.

Tony picked up his coffee and awkwardly patted the cloak.

They watched the news in silence as the news anchors either shared stories of heroes destroying the city or of heroes saving them. They were all at odds with each other, but they didn't argue about their stances. They accepted it and moved on to world news.

Peter cracked open his coke as the news turned to commercials, but as he took a sip he noticed Dr. Strange and Tony Stark sitting in each other's arms.

He paused and waited a moment, but then Tony noticed his stare. "What kid?" He asked almost harshly.

"Are you and Mr. Dr. Strange dating now?" He asked suddenly with no hesitation.

"Mr. Dr.?" Stephen asked as he held his cup in his lap.

Tony tried to find a easy way out of the situation. "No, we're just very good friends." He nodded to himself, proud of the quick save.

Strange stared at him with an incredulous expression. "What?"

Tony shrunk into the couch more.

"So you're in matrihomie." Peter's eyes shone with the pride of making the pun.

The bad pun.

Even the TV quieted in confused respect.

"Matrihomie is when two bros have a bond like no othe-" Peter explained, smiling.

Tony held the bridge of his nose with his fingers and sighed. He crossed his arm as the cape patted his shoulder to comfort him. "You know what? Sure. We're dating, just please don't ever say that again."

Peter beamed.
