Chapter 1. Past to future

The pain wasnt anything new. The broken ribs and ankle. The black eye and all the bruises. None of this waz n3w. Dad being drunk and abusive wasn't new anymore. Mom being dead for 5 years, still new. Fresh the way she died was cruel. They had to take her away from us. Now everything was broken. This family broken and cruel. No one cared anymore.i was a happy boy with a good family until mom died. Until I was outted as gay. When Dad tried to beat the gay out. I was alone and broken yet wished for someone to love me.

"Look you need to get away, go somewhere he wont find you sorrah" Kai says looking worried. Kai is my only friend and the only one that knows what happened. " yeah i know but, I am scared what if he comes for me?" I say "he wont he cant get to you in America" Kai says. We live in England and america maybe what I needed. "You'll go to new York a big City that will make it harder for him to find you, change your hair and eye color before you go and your last name" Kai says already planning ahead. "I can get enough money for you to survive on out there " he says. Kai is a rich kid from a loong line of rich family. "Really? You'll do that for me?" I ask suprised. "Of course you're like my brother and after a year I'll meet you in New York Kay?" Kai says. One year on my own. One year away from my abusive father one year of freedom. "Lets do this" I say with a small smile.

*2 months later*

" we will be landing soon, please put away all electronic devices and put your tray tables and seats back up" the flight attendants voice said over the intercom. I cant belive i got away, sure my father still haunts me in my dreams but I finally escaped. I'm free from his cruelty and away from all the memories this is a new day for me a new life I was going to be happy. Kai provided all my things for this trip. I had five laguages filled with clothing. A back pack with my laptop, iPad pro and sketch books. And Kai got me a person to get my language and a driver to get me to my apartment that Kia's family owned so my rent is very low. Half an hour later i was In a like limo kind of car and we were stuck in trafic. " sorry, sir it looks like we got caught in the evening rush .. Everyone is going home" the driver says apologetically. " its okay. I'm in no rush. I should call Kai to tell him that I am in New York" as soon as I finished speaking my phone went off. Looking at the caller I.d it was Kai "HEY! YOU OK? ARE YOU THERE! YOU COULD HAVE TEXTED ME" Kai screamed "kaaaaiiii" I whined I hated when people screamed. "I didnt text you cause for most of the flight I fell asleep. Yeah I'm in New York but stuck in traffic" I reply calmly. "Oh okay well if anything happens your driver kevin is a skilled military personnel. So he'll take care of anyone who tries to attack you. Oh and call me back when you  reach the appartment" Kai says before hanging up. Wow that was nice of him....sarcasm. I saw a MC D and my stomach growled. "Kevin can we stop and get Mickey Dees " I ask. He nodds and turns to the McDonald's drive through. He ordered a big mac and large fries for himself and asked me what I wanted " first batch of 20 piece nuggets and large fries and another one for later. So thats 40 nuggets and two large fries."i say. Kevin looked at me with wide eyes "what?" He just shook his head and drove up paying for our food and heading off to the apartment.

Two weeks being in New York and it's still like a maze so I just take a cab anywhere I go. Ive been to the statue of liberty and the central park. Time square is too crowded and I avoid men bigger then me. I found this really cute Cafe named Oscar's that has the best food ever. New York pizza is good but it depends on where you get it from. Ive been doing fine,  I talk with Kai every day and other then the nightmares and always looking behind me and being paranoid I'm ok. I am also starting to love NY.

*1 year later*

I'm safe, I have friends, Kai is coming to live with me tomorrow. Yay. Company its not like i dont invite anyone over it's just nice to have some one to greet in the morning and it will be nice to have my brother with me. I am a manager at the cafe Oscar's i am only 17 and have a managers position. That was only because the other manager quit for going to a university in a different country. And i was the owners favorite worker. The shift finally ended. There was so much drama today, Brooklyn broke up with her girlfriend, maxi started a fight with his ex, I had a panic attack and we were way to busy. Good thing we have enough employees and that they are all hard workers. We had no costumer complaints and had a giant catering order to some. Coperate company that made billions. I get to my aparment and get a surprise Kai is there with a box and I could hear small whimpers and whines coming from it. "Kai! What the hell are you doing here? You're not supposed to arive until tomorrow" I exclaim but he just smirks "yeah well I ran into this poor husky puppy on the streets and I knew you were lonely and so I begged my dad to get me here quicker with a jet plane I was on it this moring for an 8 hour straight and had a shopping spree before coming to our apartment" Kai

Explains taking out the puppy. " he is yours as a gift ...or he could be ours but its mainly yours" he babbles on. I take the puppy and he happily licked my face. We went back inside and talked for a bit. Sleep was good. My new puppy that I named suji slept with me.
