Today is my 21 birthday! I am so excited! I get to go out with my friends and finally have a drink! My best friend Julie and I have been planning this for weeks! Tonight, we are going to go to an Irish pub in Seattle. It's had some pretty good reviews. Then later we are going to go meet up with my cousins and go to a club and dance until 2 in the morning.
So I'm just in my new vw baby blue bug crushing around trying to find somewhere to have a cup of coffee. I turn into a Starbucks near my old middle school and find that there is a little, little group of preppie surrounding someone with this bright blonde hair. It looked so familiar. So I went in closer. And to my surprise, it was my old highschool friend Niall Horan! I couldn't belive it, I hadn't talked to him in years! I had the biggest crush on him and he never knew. I try my hardest to get something to drink without being seen, but I'm outta luck!
"Rose? Rose Martin? Oh my gosh! It's me! Niall Horan! From Highschool!
Crap. Crap. Crap. What do I say!!
" Um, hi! I havnt seen you in years!"
I try not to make eye contact, because of I do, I'm going to start blushing. His eyes, they are so memorizing. He once saw me starting at his eyes and I have been embarrassed ever since.
" I'm only going to be here for a couple of weeks, we should get a drink sometime and catch up on things. Are you busy tonight?"
" Actually I'm going out later, it's my 21st birthday, so how about tomorrow?"
" Oh... Would you mind if I tag along?" He said this with a bit of hope in his voice, gosh it was adorable!
I know he was hoping to go and catch up, but not with alcohol involved!
" I wouldn't, but if you'd be willing to be our driver for the night, im okay with it. But I also have seen you drink back in Ireland, and I'm not trying to be mean, but you can get a little carried away with your drinking!" I tried to sound somewhat sincere and friendly, I hope he took it well!
" Oh, yeah, I remember that night. I was a little exited. It was my eighteenth and I was exited! I'm sorry I will never act like that again! Trust me, I've had a little more experience and since you never got to drink in Ireland, I guess I can hold off for tonight."
I'm just a year younger than him, we were neighbors for the 3 years I was there for highschool. And he was really nice to me! He also left his last year because he became a really famous singer in a band called One Direction.
" Haha it's fine! And I guess you can come along of you promise not to drink!"
" Okay, so when and where do I pick you up?"
" Hmm, about 9:30 at Billy's house, you remember where that is, right?"
" Of course! It's on..... Elm street?"
" Haha yeah. It's where we spent halloween, just down that little path on the corner of the road."
" Okay, so see you at 9:30?"
" Yes, bye Niall!"
" Bye Rose!"
Oh my gosh. I forgot how much I like him! This day has already started out amazing!
