I wake up in my rather small bedroom and stare at my ceiling. After a good ten or twelve minutes of just staring and thinking, I push the five layers of blankets off of me and sit up. I raise my arms above my head, almost hitting the succulent hanging above my bed again, and stretch. I finally decide to stand up and grab my outfit of the day. I grab dark blue ripped skinny jeans, white T-shirt, and a black jean jacket.

It's fall so it's a little chilly when I walk outside. I look at my small cave and yawn, the trees around me make a calming noise that I can't even explain. On one of the waving trees, there is a small house hanging from a branch. The house has a basket dangling below it that carries an eye ball, a bit smaller than my head. The color of the eyeball is sea foam green, and it glistens in the sunlight. I knock on the little house and Fladdermus sleepily flies out. His dark brown fur is waving in the wind just like the grass. His mohawk is a ruffled mess and the barely visible dots that cover his body make him look like a cheetah. His black bat wings match his devil-like tail. The tip if his tail looks like an upside-down pastel blue heart. Fladdermus yawns and sticks out his pastel blue tongue while slightly nudging me. "Yeah, yeah. I'll get your food, come on," I say to him.

I walk back inside of my cave while Fladdermus flies in, carrying the eye ball by his small claws. I walk over to the kitchen which is a little farther from my room. I grab some Eggos and pop them into the toaster. While waiting I grab some syrup, butter, and a butter knife. Once the waffles bounce out, I grab them and add the butter and syrup. I give Fladdermus his pair and I take mine. After eating, I go to the bathroom to get my hair done. I take a long look at my pale skin and messy white and blonde hair that matches my wolf ears and big fluffy tail. I sigh at myself and start brushing through my hair. After, I brush my teeth and fangs while looking at my dark blue eyes and giving myself a rundown on what I need to study.

I walk out and grab my phone off of the charger. I realized that I have many notifications from messages and Instagram. I delete all of them and grab my maroon backpack. I pack a little bag of apple slices for Fladdermus and head out into the town. The walk isn't very long because our town is located in the forest, but it's farther than my best friend's house. While walking, I come across the college's "popular" guy, Shadow.  He walks over to me, smiling. While he walks, his black hair bounces up and down, his beautiful green eyes sparkle and a light shade of pink covers the pale skin of his face. After admiring him, I realize I'm staring.

"Hey, Moon," he pips. I feel my face starting to heat up and I smile.

"Hi, Shadow. What are you doing up so early before class?" I ask awkwardly.

"I can say the same for you too, but I'm up because its nice out here. Especially in the mornings." He answers.

"O-oh. Well I am meeting up with Talon at Starbucks", I reply and scratch the back of my head.

"Cool, you mind if I tag along? Just to go to starbucks, I won't join you and Talon." Shadow inquires.

At this point I'm just a HUGE, GIGANTIC, MESS of a closeted gay boy.

                       "I-uuhh...sure?"
