The next thing she saw surprised her. Hovering over her was a tall boy with wet black hair and a snake tattoo on the side of his neck. She was confused as to why she saw him. Was he welcoming her to Hell? However he didn't seem to say anything to her or invite her into Hell.

Ambulance sirens sounded in the distance and that was when she realised he wasn't welcoming her to Hell. He had saved her from drowning. He had rescued her from the bottom of Sweetwater River.

She sat there, an itchy red blanket placed over her shoulders as people rushed around her asking her questions and checking her vital signs. The black haired boy also had a blanket draped over his shoulders in the same sort of way hers was draped over her shoulders. He also had many people checking his vital signs.

Emily looked up from her hands to see all of her friends crowded around the boy with the snake tattoo talking between themselves. Her best friend Libby was standing there with tears streaming down her face, her hands interlocked with her boyfriend Archie's and her sister Cheryl trying to calm her down knowing what happened after Jason's death.

After being checked over by the doctors many times, she saw her parents making their way towards her. She saw the disappointed looks on their faces knowing that this would make big news and damage the family name knowing that the Lodges daughter tried to take her own life.

Finally after a long lecture from her angry parents, her friends joined her. They stood in silence staring at the girl who had attempted to end her own life. All of them were too scared to say anything in case it came out wrong so nobody said anything. The only sound that was made in the group was the occasional sniffle that escaped Libby's lips as she snuggled into her boyfriend. All of them had questions obviously but they all knew to keep their mouths shut because even at the best of times Ems didn't like to be interrogated.

However, as they all stood there, they were all oblivious to the fact that Emily was angry with the snake tattoo boy who had saved her life.
