'English, such a complex language.'

She smirked, her head tilted her so slightly as she watched her mother cook.

"Mother," She called out. "Shall I take Tyson out for a walk?"

"Yes please, Jane." Her mother replied with a relieved sigh.

She stood up, grabbing the red lead next to her and latched it onto the dog's collar. The old Labrador let his tail move from side to side rapidly with a few pants.

"Come on, Tyson." She said, tugging the lead gently. They both walked out the door onto a large street that had a small forest on the oppiset side of her house. It had taken them barely a minute to cross, allowing them to wander into the woods.

Tyson sprinted off immediately, sticks and pieces of green being merely an obstacle for the old dog. 'Jane' followed easily, her trainers crunching sticks under them.

It took an hour until the duo reached Jane's intended target, a large wall that hid whatever was inside. Blackwood forest was a smart place to hide such a place.

"'Wammy's orphanage'." Jane recited with a small smirk, her eyes flashing momentarily in glee. "Tyson. Fine an entrence."

The dog sniffed the air as he wandered, his tail wagging.

'I must thank --- for preparing this body,' Jane reminded herself. 'And the dog.'

Tyson barked at a tree with a broken ladder as Jane walked closer to him, his teeth showing in a grin.

Jane nodded at him, her hands latching onto the rotting rope as she forced herself up. It was a bit difficult due to Jane's new--younger-- body.

She hoisted herself onto the wall--that she realised was a simple limestone, possibly from Portland or Weymouth, depending on the layout-- allowing her to peek over the edge. Below her was a boy, his head tilted up to stare at her.

"You shouldn't be here." He called out to her.

She was about to reply when a bark stopped her, making her turn to see Tyson climbing up the wall with demon like claws.

'Of course --- would give the dog demon qualities for me. Idiotic ---.'

"How did your dog get up the wall?" The boy asked as Jane jumped down from the wall to face him.

A small jar of strawberry jam laid by his feet, almost covered by the boy's left leg. The boy was rather tall, wearing a faded blue shirt with jeans. His black hair covered his almost red eyes, bags underneath them.

He did not look like his future self which was almost a God send to Jane.

"Good evening, B. I am afraid that I cannot tell you much about myself except that I wish to help you with hidden information unknown to the world." Jane formerly said, a smile smile on her lips.

B's eyes widened in shock, his jaw dropping slightly. Tyson walked over to his with a snarl, sniffing his legs before snatching up the strawberry jam jar and rushing back to Jane.

"H-How did you know my-"

"Code name? I know alot of things, B. Even your... true name," Jane finished, walking to the shocked boy. Tyson followed loyally, his mussel in the jar as he ate. "If you ever need information, call me."

Jane took few steps forward only to appear behind him.

"Why are you...?" B trailed off as he turned his head to look at her.

He froze for a second.

Jane did not look like she did a mere few seconds ago, instead turning into an almost completely different being. Her body was stretched in inhumane ways, an animal like skull over taking her original human one. A large dark gold robe covered her skeleton like body as giant wings of the same colour that were too big for the body stretched out to almost hit his face.

"W-What...-?" He whispered as his eyes widened.

"Am I?" Jane finished. "I am an information keeper, a relative to the Shinigami. Due to our appearence, we are seen as our cousins, but we are anything but."

B took a few steps back.

"We know everything and everyone, barely needing any rules. Only rule, collect information." Jane said as she leaned into his face. "Other than that, we can do whatever we please. Do you wish to know my real name?"

B took to many steps back as he tumbled to the ground onto his ass, his jaw open. "T-This is not logically possible!"

"Oh, but it is," Jane cooed. "And I am willingly to be your own personal info giver. At only the small price of your soul."

Tyson crept out from behind Jane, his body growing triple his original size as his black fur seemed to fall off him like a constant mist, his eyes glowing a deep blue.

"My soul...?" B whispered in shock. Jane nodded. "How much do I get out of this... partnership?"

Jane cackled, her head tilted back. "Smart boy!" She straightened her body with the words.

"Of course." B finally caught himself as he stood up, shaking off his shock at the supernatural creature.

"You get whatever you wish out of this partnership, spying even since no human can see me in this form." B nodded at Jane's words.

"What... is your real name?" He asked.

Jane leaned down to his ear, her curved horn scratching his cheek. "Gayatri."

"As in the Hindu goddess?" B asked with raised eyebrows.

---

Gayatri floated above B's head, Tyson traveling next to the boy's feet.

She laughed loudly when a boy that seemed similar to B walked past, his back hunched. "So that's L!"

B flinched as L walked past, his face scrunching up in a small show of hatred. L stopped just a few feet behind B.

"Is something wrong, B?" He asked with a monotone voice, turning slightly to face the other boy.

"No, L. Just... tired." B replied. B scowled at his pathetic excuse.

"That is pathetic!" Gayatri cackled, her head tilting back. Tyson snorted at the same time.

"I'm sorry, I've got to go." B quickly muttered, escaping the awkward air around the two visible boys.
