Authors Note: This story was very hard for me to write, since I wanted you amazing readers to imagine everything happening as your reading. I couldn't quite find the character I wanted for Beppi in this chapter, which makes me a bit mad at myself for not being able to do so. There will be tweaks every now and then of Beppi's and your lines until I am finally happy with how their character comprehends reality. So for now, just bare with me. (This is not a Beppi X Reader. Beppi is just the introduction character) If you have any suggestions for Beppi's character, you NEED to let me know in order for you to fully enjoy this story. Also, I always imagined your character (not stereotypical) to be a type of person who is cautious with any situation, but also feisty when it comes to very threatening and serious states and conditions. Anyhow, enjoy my rough draft so far.

A/N: I hate this story XD

EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN THIS STORY IS FICTION. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STORY-LINE OF CUPHEAD

Commas put in the wrong places of sentences are used for pausing.

She lowered her head slowly at the thought of the depressing loss.

"It just ain't right" She said steadily.

He chuckled creepily to cheer her up. "Chin up (Y/N). There's always a rainbow around every corner. Your father wouldn't be around forever you know." Said Beppi contentedly, with a few arm waves here, and there.

She sighed. "Maybe for you. Your a clown. You always look on the bright side of things. I just-" I hesitated, and Beppi stared at me full of concern.

"I just- wonder how much of what weighs me down is not mine to carry..." (Y/N) said, full of doubt.

Beppi stood up and held his hand out seconds after (Y/N) uttered. She looked up and without thought, clutched onto his hand and stood up with him. He smiled, and she grinned back.

Their hands unhooked, and they both turned their heads toward the packed Casino.

On the way there, they stayed completely silent. The only sound being portrayed was the noise of their footsteps across the black-tainted brick pathway, followed by a porcelain soft red carpet. Until (Y/N) spoke up.

"Beppi... You promised we wouldn't go any further than the third Inkwell Isle." (Y/N) said cautiously, stopping in her tracks in the process.

"Did I? Hm..." Beppi said with a brittle grin spread across his face.

"Yeah. You did."

"Stop being so cautious (Y/N)! Get out, and have some fun! Besides..." Beppi emitted. "It's Take-A-Friend-To-Work Day." He said, leaning into her face with a raspy whisper.

And by then, they were both standing in front of the colossal casino.

(Y/N) looked around her, surprised, and scared at the same time. "How did you-?"

How did I get here..? I dont remember just... Walking here on my own.

Beppi pushed the double doors open and said in his most polite manner, "After you."

(Y/N) nodded with an awkward smile and wandered into the Casino, when a wave of nostalgia and fear washed over her like a tidal wave.

This can't be good.

Outside the establishment, it was rather nice. The birds were singing and the trees' leaves danced in the slow, cool wind. But inside the gambling foundation, it reeked of alcohol and the metallic smell of gold coins and rust, almost making (Y/N) feel sick and light-headed. The people inside were all gathered around games and pool tables, along with waiters and waitresses, dressed ever so gallantly, delivering drinks to drunk consumers.

Beppi walked up to stand beside (Y/N) and flashed a chaotic smile. Not too big, not too small, then continued walking to fulfill his duties, assuming she could handle herself. (Y/N) strolled around until she came across one particular group of people. Two cups, some gentleman with a dice for a head, wearing mostly lavender mixed with different royal shades of purple, two skeletons, dressed in green and brown, and another mysterious man.

(Y/N) sneaked her way reclusively around the intimidating man, and while she saw the Dice eye her, she slyly pretended like nothing ever happened, and kept making her way around the table to get away from that group of men as quickly as possible. Although that wouldn't last long.

The dice, being as cunning as possible, made his way over to her without drawing attention to himself. With (Y/N) knowing he was behind her, she straightened her back up, and thought to make a run for it. But right when she took one step forward to run, she felt a grip on the back of her shirt, and she soon realized she was being lifted off of the floor. During that shocking process, (Y/N) heard a deep chuckle.

"Well, well, well." He said calmly. "Look whuh we have here!" He exclaimed loudly with a bit of slang. The group of men all turned their heads to (Y/N)'s direction. The mysterious man gripped onto his golden pitchfork, and made his way over to (Y/N), while she was still hoisted in the air.

"Hmm..." The man hummed while he made his way over.

"What's a human like you, doing in this Casino?" The man said, with a childish tone in his voice. Leaning into her face.

(Y/N) stared intently into the man's eyes without saying a word, only because she was too alarmed by the man's appearance, along with the collar on her shirt choking her.

The man immediately got impatient. He clenched his fist around his pitchfork harder, then used his other hand to grab (Y/N) by her arm. With force, he tugged her close to him.

"Answer me!" The man yelled, which silenced the entire casino. Cards stopped shuffling, the Roulette tables and chips all ceased to move, and everyone's heads turned towards (Y/N) and the man.

"I- uh..." (Y/N) stuttered. She was too scared to answer. But she knew she had to sooner or later anyways. Her brows furrowed with anger, and annoyance.

"Why would you care if I was here or not?!" She shouted at him. Gasps and murmurs filled the silence. But (Y/N) heard one whisper in particular.

"No one talks back to the Devil...." One voice said. "She's gonna die." Another responded.

That's the Devil? (Y/N) thought to herself.

The Devil smirked, then chuckled.

(Y/N) was confused, until she saw the horns. Her eyes moved from the top of his head, down to his razor sharp teeth accompanied by a beaming grin, and finally a clawed hand around his weapon. She then realized that that one voice was correct. No one talks back to the Devil. Especially in his casino.

"Your one oblivious child, aren't you?" The Devil said menacingly with the smirk still crept along his mouth.

(Y/N) trembled with trepidation, and the Devil withdrew a knife from the table behind him. He pulled it out in front of him. (Y/N)'s mouth quivered and hung open slightly. The Devil poked at the tip of the knife, and ran his finger along the blade.

"Gotta be sure your the right one..." He added with a snicker.

"The right one? What's that supposed to-?"

(Y/N) felt the cold blade slice along the side of her neck. Blood trickled down, and before the drops could drizzle down any further the Devil quickly, with his hand, swiped at the blood drops and watched them run down his fingers with a devious smile.

He pulled out a small, clear, plastic container with a blue lid on it and skillfully twisted off the cap with one hand. With his other, he hovered his blood-coated fingers above the open container, and patiently waited for every drop to enter the canister.

"Ahh... There we go..." He said with that same grin plastered across his evil face.

"Now your mine..."
