You ride the bus to school. Everybody is silent.


Once again, you are early.


You walk through the labyrinth of a building that you have memorized hundreds of times over.

You walk to the atrium with all your friends. You chat for a bit.

You hear the principal announcing that homeroom will start soon.

You say bye to your friends and head to your locker.

Homeroom ends.


You start the day not knowing what to think, not knowing what will happen.

Not caring what will happen.


You pass by the faces of people you might never know without a second thought.

Class starts. 


You try to pay attention, but your mind wanders off, like it always does.

For you have more important things to think about....
