"Tom stay safe, don't go to a place where nobody knows you there are Germans round every corner."
Jacquelyn took one last look at Jeremy as she complimented him on remembering to display his usual grin at the Timekeeper.
"Don't leave Jeremy by himself my love, don't leave him, he's your only brother"
The war was turning itself back onto the radio as the every minute passed. Mulborious was no longer a free place it was surrounded by Germans. Jacquelyn didn't blame the Germans, in fact she would never do such a thing for she had already fallen in love with one.
"The Germans are only doing their job" she murmured
"There really isn't anything wrong with them". Jacquelyn was starting to enjoy the fact that all people could talk about was the war. Having Tom in her company made her feel special. To her it really wasn't a bad thing,she had no family to lose but her feelings for Tom were getting in the way of the head of her flat, Mrs Dewquelsty.
"Everytime you come late I will leave all the grime from underneath my fingernails right at your door." Mrs Dewquelsty really could be nice at times but the fact that she had to wait till 1:30 am in the morning to open the door to a tired Jacquelyn about to collapse on the floor was really starting to give her the sensation that she needed to kick Jacquelyn out.
" Jacquelyn! Do you know what time it is? The timekeeper will be here any minute now, you should be sleeping otherwise your German boyfriend might die. That is to die of the fact that you'll be arrested.
