Adriens Point of View

I felt empty inside as I slipped on my pitch black outfit. The one person I loved, gone from the world. I couldn't sleep, for every time I closed my eyes, I saw her body on the floor of her bakery, gun in hand and eyes wide open, laking any sense of life. I couldn't eat either, sobs would threaten to escape every time I opened my mouth, so I only spoke one word when I had to. I hadn't even transformed since her death.

Father had taken me from school and grounded me because I disobeyed him, but he excused me just this once to go to Marinettes funeral. I had doubted he would.

The sun shone brightly down on us, making everyone sweat in their dark clothing. It wasn't at all like the movies, it didn't rain to mimic the depressed mood, it was bright and normally happy, just like Marinette.

My eyes were clouded in tears, but everyone's was. Marinettes parents, Alya, most of the class, even the mayor came, and they were all crying. Chloe didn't come, she was probably off somewhere celebrating. It took all of my self control not to go over to her and strangle her.

"Would anyone like to say anything before the casket is closed?" The priest asked. Before I knew what I was doing, I raised my hand. "Yes, young sir, please come up here."

I walked to the front of everyone, and looked down in the casket at Marinettes lifeless body. I felt more sobs coming up in my throat, but I swallowed them down. I glanced around at everybody and saw that no one was in the condition to say anything, everybody was in tears. I looked to the back and saw Natalie and my bodyguard standing at the back of the people, waiting for it to finish.

I cleared my throat, gaining a few peoples attention. I didn't prepare a speech or anything, so I decided to speak straight from my heart. "Anyone who knew Marinette, knew she was one of the most selfless, brave, optimistic, and kind people alive. Out of all of us, she was the one who deserved the least to die." I probably just insulted everyone here, but it was her funeral, so I decided to continue. "I only knew her for a short time, but in that short time, she became one of my best friends." I took a deep breath and started playing with the end of my black shirt. "I would never have suspected her to do what she did. If only she could see what everyone else saw, she would have understood that she is one of the best people to have ever entered my life. It was impossible not to fall in love with her." A gasp was heard. I registered what I just said and looked up to see that it was Alya who had gasped, her mouth was still open. Everyone else was starting to look up at me too in shock. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that even Natalie had her mouth open. I couldn't find myself able to say anything more, so I bowed my head and started towards Natalie and my bodyguard, but not before taking one last look at the love of my life, drinking in all of her features. Yes, I loved her.

I hoped into the limo and it immediately started going. I kept my eyes focused on the crowd, catching a glimpse of Marinettes parents closing the casket as they were pulled out of my range of sight.

I sighed and put my head up against the window. Marinette was gone. What was I supposed to do with my life now?

I'm back! Sorry for the long wait!

Don't be mad at me! I didn't tell y'all that she wasn't going to die, I said it wasn't the end of her character... so don't kill me, because there's still a lot more to come!

RFF: There are over 58 million dogs in the U.S!

And I have one!!! I've been wanting one for years, but when we moved to a different state, that's when my parents finally got one!

Sorry for all the pictures of her, but she's just so cute!

Love ya guys! 🦄
