R=Raegan
R : " I heard there was a new kid moving in next door"
M: "yes the house was finally bought, I'm pretty sure the young man moving in there with his dad is pretty close to your age."
R: " How would you know?"
M: "I talked to them when they came to look at the house, they seemed like really sweet people."
R: that's nice but I think I'm gonna just keep my distance. I don't want to get hurt again, like with what happened with Benny."
M:"you know you really should just get out more. It would be good for your health physically and mentally babygirl"
R: "Thanks mom but the only thing that could actually help me mentally is if you acknowledged that being a girl is not my thing. Its not what I am. Why can't you just see that?"
I started crying. I've been really dysphoric and mom doesn't help at all. She held me to her chest and hugged me tight.
M:"whatever baby go to sleep its past 12 in the morning you have got a big day tomorrow"
R"what's tomorrow?"
M"you'll see"

*Time skip next morning*
R:"MOOOM!"
M:"WHAAATT"
R:"CAN YOU BRING ME SOME TOILET PAPER?!"
M:"OKAYY ILL BE UP THERE IN A SEC!"
*still Rae's POV*
I was still sitting there waiting in the bathroom. Ugh I hate when this happens! Anyway, I'm still hooked on what mom said, I want to know why I'm supposedly having a big day today. Suddenly mom cracked open the door not looking throwing toilet paper in the bathroom.
R: "Thanks....wait mom.."
M: "yes sweety"
R:"why is today a big day?"
M"I told you you'll see."
R:"whatever"
I finished in the bathroom and went to my bed room, I was really bored so I decided to go outside. My mom came out and told me to get ready and that I could wear what I wanted today, I was really happy that she didn't make me wear something girly like a skirt or a dress today, but I wondered why. She never accepted me. When I came out as trans she just ignored me and shook her head in disappointment. What's different today?
We got in the car and I was just kinda quiet the whole ride there. We pulled up into the parking lot of a barber shop, I asked her what we are doing here and she just smiled and got out. We went in and she started talking to the barber. He grinned and all I heard was "really, so am I!"
His voice sounded kind of high so I was kinda confused. He was a grown man. My mom called me over and I was confused. I asked what we were doing to my hair and she had the barber turn around my chair so I couldn't see the mirror. He started cutting my hair and my mom whispered "just not too short, ok?" I kinda smiled, I think I knew what was happening. After like 30 minutes of working at my long wavy hair he turned my around. I got so happy I started crying. It was so..
